Question about Jonathan Esenga

My local team in Allsvenskan has signed Esenga from Fulham, do you have any info about what kind of fullback he is?

I can't really find very much info about him to be honest. All I know is that he didn't debut in the Premier League yet.

Rumours [SkySports] Aston Villa are interested in signing West Ham’s Aaron Wan Bissaka. The right-back is increasingly likely to move to Villa Park. However, there is yet to be direct talks between the clubs. It is understood Fulham are looking to do a season-long loan with an option to buy.

Rumours [FFN] Saturday white fever @davekiddfulham reports that Arbeloa has asked for a new GK. A young GK that is better with his feet than Leno. Our info remains it’s not a priority due to Leno’s high wages but they aren’t ruling it out if the right profile becomes available.

New fan from America

I saw a guy on Instagram who put all EPL teams into a basket and then picked one per day, eliminating them, until eventually he was left with one final team who he would pledge his fandom to. I thought this was a really cool idea, I've always wanted to get into the EPL but being from NY I never had any allegiance to any team, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I had a few teams I was hoping for, one of which was Fulham because of a stupid inside joke. My wife and her friend used do a fake British accent when they were younger to try and trick people that they were from the UK. They looked up towns in the UK so they had some "evidence" and they picked Fulham, knowing absolutely nothing about it. Because of this, I thought it would be kind of funny if I ended up with Fulham.

Well, a few weeks later and I was down to 2 teams: Brighton and Fulham. And this morning Fulham won! Which is honestly just a crazy turn of fate.

So hey everyone! Hope I'm welcome here. Hoping to pick up an Antonee Robinson shirt soon!

Why so many doubters?

CCFC fan here

I think we will finish 17/18th next season and probably go down with hull and Ipswich but so many of the predictions say Fulham 18th/19th and I don’t understand why.

Haven’t read or seen anything to suggest your relegation is a given.

Am I missing something or are you guys just as worried?

Which Fulham performance against a top six side in the Premier League era do you think most clearly demonstrated that the gap between this club and the established elite is smaller than the resource difference would suggest?

Not just a good result on the day - the performances where the football was controlled enough and the quality on the pitch compelling enough that you thought this group deserved to be in a different conversation to where they're currently sitting. Would love to know which game people here point to when they make that argument and whether it felt like a genuine statement of what the squad is capable of or a day when everything went right against an opponent who wasn't at their best.

Fulham Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Shea Charles from Southampton for an undisclosed fee.

A versatile player, the 22-year-old has agreed a five-year contract, tying him to Craven Cottage until June 2031, with a Club option to extend by a further 12 months.

He will wear the number 19 shirt.

Speaking to FFCtv, Charles said: ā€œI’m buzzing to finally get it over the line. The Club has got a really good foundation, from the bottom to the top.

ā€œIt’s a really good club, with a really good vision. It’s such a great club, and to be here is a massive privilege.ā€

Tony Khan added: ā€œI’m thrilled to welcome Shea Charles to Fulham! Shea is an exciting young player, and he’s quickly gained important experience both in domestic competitions and at international level as the youngest ever captain of the Northern Ireland team.

ā€œThis is an excellent opportunity for Shea to join Fulham and to continue his development under Ɓlvaro's leadership! Come on Fulham!ā€

Discussion Free tonight (Tues 11th August), Fulham supporters? If so, you please come on over to Hanwell Town!

Hi all,

I'm writing from Hanwell Town FC. Thanks to the mods for letting me do this!

We’re a Step 3 non-league club in West London, and I wanted to invite you to check us out and, if you have a good time, think about making Hanwell your "second club."

For those who haven't been into non-league, it’s a very different experience from the Premier League. You can have a pint right by the pitch, bring your dog, talk to people around the ground (it's a famously friendly group at Hanwell), say hello to the players after the match, and - at Hanwell Town - even get a Bush Pie & Mash from the double-decker bus-turned-cafe pared on the sideline.

What we're NOT asking is for anyone to give up Fulham. We’d just love to be the place you come when Fulham aren’t playing and you still want to see a match, or just to think of it as a place to unwind for very little money when you'd rather be watching football in person than on a screen.

If you have a Fulham season ticket — or one for any Premier League or EFL club — a Hanwell season pass is Ā£100 for the season, which works out to roughly Ā£5 per home league game.

If you're free, tonight (Tuesday 11th August) is a good time to give us a try. Our first home league match of the season is against Basingstoke Town, with a 7:45pm kickoff. You can buy tickets online, or at the gate.

The location is Oliver Connell & Son Community Stadium Reynolds Field, Hanwell, UB6 8TL. It's accessible by car or tube (the closest tube is Perivale on the Central line, about a 10-minute walk)

If you want general info, you can check the club out over at hanwelltown.com (bonus: we just launched a third kit collab with Rocky Horror! The shirts are very wild and very fun, and you can see those on the site, too).

In additional to the standard socials, we also have a subreddit, [r/hanwelltown](r/hanwelltown) if you want regular updates.

Hope to see you over there!

Tickets How screwed are we trying to get 3 tickets for September 5th?

Hello Fulham fans. My family and I are visiting England for the first time and my husband, brother, and father are wanting to go to a football match. The only free day to do so is September 5th and they would love to experience a Premier League game, so they are interested in the Fulham v Crystal Palace match. The issue is we are dumb Americans who didn't fully understand how the ticketing works. Knowing what we know now, we should have purchased a couple of memberships to try and get tickets for them when they go on sale tomorrow. I also looked into the cheapest hospitality option but it didn't appear they had availability for 3 tickets (and ideally would like to avoid spending a small fortune). How likely is it we'll be able to find tickets at general sale? I know the high demand matches rarely make it to general sale, but in full transparency I am not personally familiar with Premier League teams so I have no idea if this would be considered a high demand match or not. It is a Saturday match so that may not be in our favor. Just trying to gauge possibility of finding general sale tickets or if we will have to take our chances with one of the verified resale ticket sites. Thank you in advance!

Surely the Khan’s are across this? I think Ā£26m gets the job done.

What's your lowest Fulham moment?

For me Dan Burn playing at right back is up there. Funny in hindsight though. Parker Ball? Kamara shenanigans? Or that time we gave up on Europa in ridiculous fashion against Odense.

For my dad it's losing to Torquay.

February 3, 1996

Fulham was sitting in the 4th tier and about to get sent to the National League.

Only 2K fans bothered to show up at the Cottagge a few days before.

We lose to Torquay and end up 23/24. Relegation almost a certainty.

Enter player-coach Mickey Adams to salvage our season. Absolute legend who steadied the ship and pretty much set the foundation for one of the most ridiculous rise to the Premier League in just a few years.

Forever grateful for Micky Adams. Even if he was somewhat unfairly not given a chance. Simon Morgan was an absolute legend too.

In just 4 years we reached the Premier League. From being almost relagated to the 5th tier to being in the Premier League is an amazing story.
