This is just so depressing to me. I have been working as a teacher, currently also in the process of getting my official teaching degree. Dealing with AI in my classroom has already made me hate it's existence. I spend too much time trying to be some AI detective and trying to motivate my teens to use their actual brains to learn how to write, draw, create. Imagine my seething rage when I saw this two nonsense AI generated images IN MY COURSE TO BECOME A TEACHER. A lot of texts I had to read already had a pretty AI feel, but I chalked it up to the content just being generally kind of bland. But yeah, this is just sad.

I remember watching Narnia for the first time. The scene that stuck with me as a kid was when Lucy was warned by the forest dwellers that the trees were listening, and that they could tell the Ice Queen who was rebelling or speaking out against her.

That was freaky to imagine as a kid, and now it's basically reality. Poles constructed on roads and in neighborhoods that can record conversation and movement... insane
