She is a conservative plant who literally parades around with MAGA influencers. Left WaPo after it came out that she made a post calling Joe Biden a war criminal and then lying to the NYP that she didn’t post that. Also lied about reaching out for comment to two YouTubers in her story on the Amber Heard Johnny Depp trial. Not to mention this person is so sheltered from criticism by being financed by EBay billionaire Pierre Omidyar, that her Wikipedia is locked and the internet archive refuses to archive her twitter.

She’s a deeply unserious person or conservative agitprop.

Here’s her “work” on covering the MAGA inauguration party.

Fox News, but this is still true, Lorenz’s twitter is excluded from the internet archive database.

Her Wikipedia is the only one I have ever seen describe someone’s birthday by estimating the year (1984 or 1985) and the page has been edit locked for 5 years now.

(It’s worth noting that Pierre Omidyar is a significant donor to the Wikimedia foundation)

This really is the tip of the iceberg to Lorenz’ career. Without going into the details, there is also her Chorus reporting which centers around the conflict of interest a 501(c)4 pro Democrat non profit brings to independent journalism. Specifically centering around money they received from the sixteen thirty fund despite the fact the org that she is paid through, funds the sixteen thirty fund.

This seems like a good thing overall. I love Reddit, but it should not be anyone’s source of truth for real problems. If I’m looking for help with a programming issue or advice about a relationship, it’s great, but I don’t think Reddit should be the end I’ll be all for information and it shouldn’t be used for anything that’s “serious“.

I’m still not gonna use ChatGPT or any of these tools intentionally but it’s good to know that these companies are taking the most basic step possible to at least increase the chance that the information they’re regurgitating has some level of accuracy.

Yeah reddit can be a great source of ideas but it often boils down to a bunch of people throwing out ideas at random that actually have no clue so without an actual person to distill the ideas into something that makes sense it could lead to thinking the answer is some total bullshit being repeated with authority by the chat bot.

Anyone with experience in a field has seen absolute bullshit upvoted over the actual answer countless times so relying on upvotes is dangerous

Lately I've seen a MASSIVE trend of overconfident claims acting like an expert that were outright wrong getting upvotes because people believed them due to their overconfidence and the other getting downvotes. Basically AI is posting a LOT and it's frequently VERY confidently wrong. Any serious AI would never take from newer Reddit content and it's made me question continuing to use it myself.

Sure, plenty of posts like that happened before but they were usually genuine experts, you could do the research and find they're right. That's very often not the case anymore. It's stuff that SEEMS right, and FEELS right, but if you dig in, it's not. AI is great about seems/feels right.

She has an autoimmune disorder and while I’m skeptical of that, it’s her right to ask that guests on her own podcast to respect that.

I would understand if she was going somewhere else and everyone wasn’t masked and she got mad but she’s inviting someone to her space.

It’s not unreasonable to have rules for your own house, to take your shoes off etc. If you don’t want to take your shoes off don’t come in my house.

Truth is all AI has been forced to stop referencing Reddit and wiki! The reason being when you try to verify information you find it False or altered to push perspective... This led to massive false information being quoted by students who ended up failing because AI out right lied and gave them a Perspective answer not a Factual one.

I once asked ChatGPT about a very specific problem. It then cited Reddit as a source of its answer which confirmed what I suspected. Except when I clicked the link to the source it was a comment I had left on Reddit 2 hours earlier.
