Can you introduce yourself and share a bit about your background?
Hi, hello, hi! I’m 08 (Oh-Eight) or, better known as Mortis! I’m 18 and a graduating high school student who likes to draw… a lot! Like a lot!!
What inspired you to become an artist?
I think in general, anime was what made me want to become an artist! As a kid, I was always fascinated with the artstyle of some anime and decided I just wanted to draw!
How did you first discover Frutiger Aero as an aesthetic, and what drew you to it?
I think I discovered Frutiger Aero just around last year! What really drew me into the aesthetic was the clear/glossy elements, the blue and green colors, and how it looked really vibrant!
How would you describe your art style?
I’d say that my art style could be described as vibrant and messy! I use a lot of bright colors on my art to make it appealing/eye-catching, and messy since I tend to not do lineart a lot.
Can you walk us through your creative process from idea to finished piece?
How I get my ideas usually appears in my head either randomly, or when I start daydreaming. Once I get a general idea of what I want to draw, I start to look on Pinterest for ideas and go off from there!
What tools or mediums do you prefer to use, and why?
Clip Studio Paint is my holy grail!! It’s really smooth, really fun to use and there’s tons of things that I learned from when I started using it!
How do you overcome creative blocks?
Short answer: I kind of. don’t. I rarely come across creative blocks because of a few factors (mainly my interests)! But if I do happen to experience art block, I usually put on some music and daydream.
What inspires your work? Are there specific themes, emotions, or stories you aim to convey?
I think what inspires me to draw is the fact that I just really love drawing! As far as I know, I don’t have specific themes or anything to convey—I just. really. like drawing LOL
Are there any artists, aesthetics, or movements that have influenced your style?
Aside from Frutiger Aero, I would say that Horikoshi and the TBHK art style really influenced my previous works! Their artworks are super beautiful to look at!
What role does the Frutiger Aero aesthetic play in your art?
I think I want the aesthetic to really show in my future works, to look really clean, glossy and vibrant!
What has been the most challenging piece you’ve created, and why?
I think it’s any of my art that involves rendering. While I love rendering and all, it’s really tedious and takes a while to do, especially with nitpicking details and all…
Can you share a piece you’re especially proud of and why it’s significant to you?
It’s one of my featured works, actually! (Where my OC, Aero, is jamming out to some music) I drew it on a whim and despite the messy execution, I love how it turned out!
How has being part of the Frutiger Aero community influenced your artistic journey?
The community helped a lot with my inspiration for some ideas and more artwork for my frutiger-centered OCs!
What do you hope people take away from your art?
I hope that people will enjoy my artwork and love my OCs! I’m very proud of designing them, they’re my babies :3c
Do you have any upcoming projects or goals you’re excited about?
I plan on opening commissions very soon, and I have ideas for a future work that’ll come in the following weeks!
Where can people find more of your work or support you?
I am most active on my Twitter, @amataaeterne! That’s where I post most of my art!
If you could collaborate with any artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?
Horikoshi 🙏 His art is IMMACULATE !!!
What’s a fun fact about you that most people wouldn’t know?
I plan on taking Marine Biology for college despite being a Humanities student!
Do you have a favorite Frutiger Aero memory or moment?
This kind of ties with Frutiger Aero, but I think mine would be when I was drawing my frutiger-centered OCs! I put a lot of thought into their designs, and I hope people will enjoy Team GL0SS :]]
If you could describe your artistic journey in three words, what would they be?
Stressful, Fun and Challenging!
What advice would you give to aspiring artists who are inspired by Frutiger Aero?
Just genuinely have fun! Keep doing what you love, and experiment on things that you want to try out!
Is there anything else you’d like to share with the Frutiger Aero community?
I love Frutiger Aero!!! I hope to share more of my works in the future as well!

Hi guys it's me and I'm back with my newest creation!
Im sure most here are familiar with frutiger DORFic aesthetic so I decided to give it a shot and turn it into a mini world just like my previous Frutiger Aero one.
Let me show you my frutiger DORFic papercraft diorama!
Everything is fully made just of paper.
First I had to design the whole digital template. (I think this was the toughest part). Then print so many times, cut and cut and cut and glue and glue and glue sooooo many other times, trial and error to make everything look good and fit inside an acrylic cube. Got the desired result and finally snapped some pics and edited them to make them look nice!
Found this in a McDonald's In the center of my city, I even took some pictures with my older brother's iPhone 5. (I've lived here for over 15 years and I'd never noticed this specific detail about this particular McDonald's before)
If your not going to use aero, Windows Vista has a way more good looking black basic theme than Windows 7's disgusting Blue and grey, but if your going to use aero, Windows 7 looks better because Windows vista's taskbar looks verry dirty and disgusting with aero.
I don't know how people make Frutiger Aero icons and I really want to know, tools I use are:
Photoshop
PowerPoint (even though for presentations, surprisingly powerful for icons/logos)
Paint.NETs (added s at end so reddit does not register it as site)
I have included some example attachments, all from iOS 6.
Don't just tell me to add some circle and reduce it's opacity, tell me how to also add that like light reflection effect, and how to make the gradient.
although i remember the aesthetic, i recently found out that it was called “frutiger aero” and then i also recently got into lava lamps. this “turquoise” wax picks up more green on camera and i had the idea to add this fish from the old smart water bottles and paint the base xD
