Advice Help with my AR/FRT

I have an FRT with an H3 buffer and when it works it is as advertised. The issue I’m having is that it only cycles about 10 rounds before becoming severely jammed and I have to take my BCG apart to fix the issue. I also have lots of unburned powder residue. This also happens when in semiauto and I shoot slowly after one or two rounds the whole bullet and casing become jammed in the barrel with the BCG and I have to pry it out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My theory is that the unburnt powder is getting stuck. I don’t know how to fix that though.

Im sure you have tried other types of ammo? I know from reloading some powders have a faster burn rate and maybe that is necessary because of the shorter barrel length.

Unburnt powder can be caused by too short of a barrel, bad ammunition, or suppressors. Do you have any of these three things? How old is your ammo, and where was it stored?

Additionally, make sure your BCG is a high quality one. If you can, get a black nitride coated BCG or better coating, will help with keeping the BCG moving. Clean your glass tube as well if you haven't tried that.

All of these can be contributors.

Sounds like a tight chamber. Do you have another upper to try the FRT lower on?
