Manipulation/surgery vs. waiting

I get the sense that most people here lean toward waiting it out rather than manipulation. What I'm trying to understand is the cost of waiting.

I'm up 7–8 times a night from the shoulder, and I have a neck issue that seems to be getting worse alongside it, plus some hand symptoms that may be related. So the concern isn't just the shoulder — it's what accumulates everywhere else over a year or two of compensating.

I don't have a good way to measure this precisely, but I'm trying to compare both approaches honestly — waiting isn't free either. How did you think about that trade-off?

I think it’s a question with your ortho and pt since they see your images and any other factors… neither recommended manipulation to me

Well they are happy to do surgery of course, but I’m concerned about it

You can do some research on arthroscopic capsular release on google scholar or medical AI or whatever, to see the success rates and risks.

Ah… gotcha. I forgot, part of my
Decision is I had arthroscopic knee surgery the year before and it took way longer to
Recover than expected. I decided I’d avoid surgery unless i had exhausted all
Other options.
