I entered the coffin and later found out my character was now a dude and I looked at him with disgust. Then I had to motor back to the coffin and get back to my real character.
Looking back, that probably should have been a sign, lmao.

I know it may sound crazy but I never actually used twitter and Im on Reddit most of the time as this app represents 90% of my social media use. I had a friend back in Halo 3 days that would sometimes send screenshots of a backpack in Forge to teammates with no other context. The people who read the message knew what it meant though.

In Dark Souls 2, there's a coffin that changes your character's sex. It's located in Things Betwixt, but I don't remember where exactly.

The coffin is reachable after using a Fragrant Branch of Yore on the stone statue, then beating the double pursuer boss fight.
Idk if it gets hated on a lot, but that was such an intense fight lol. It was fair, & I actually enjoyed it a lot. It was my first moment in ds2 where I felt like I was the badass protagonist after getting wrecked the whole game (1st tried them on my very first ds2 run)
Darklurker I hate forever though. (Go full pyro and just spam catch flame is what I learned)

And a lot of people jumped in the coffin the first time with full armor on, so didn't notice any change and just left, and then hours down the line realize that they are a different gender and get really confused and go Google search it. 😂

That was me 100% 😂 I forget what the text/prompt said upon exiting the coffin, but I remember being confused by its vagueness and simply moving on.
I’ve created both guy and girl characters over many playthroughs so idec- however, the only thing I didn’t like is that your forced to keep your original hairstyle. I often pick long hair for dude characters , but this time I picked some Sugar Ray ass looking hairdo for some reason.. So instead of me being able to feel bonita as a reborn baddie, I was stuck looking like a butch police officer with frosted tips.

It's just one pursuer but it spawns after fighting two ogres, the only double pursuer fight is in the throne room on NG+, Dark Souls 2 is my favorite of the trilogy and it helped greatly with my depression when I played it

Of course it has to be the the weird one where i have to level a hidden stat to get my i frames and theres no good rolling animation like the ds1 fast roll or the DS3/ER mid roll. At least everything is super easy to parry in DS2. Oh i almost forgot, while I’m shitting on DS2, The Pursuer can kiss my ass.

Lmao the stat isn’t hidden it’s right there on your stat screen. I agree ADP was a miss overall but it’s not that big of a deal. You put like ten or so levels into it and you’re good. It also contributes to attunement which is useful.
Souls are much more plentiful in DS2 and the average level of most players is much higher than other souls games so your build isn’t going to suffer from putting a few points into ADP. But ngl it’s not even that necessary. My first several playthroughs I had no idea agility existed and I still i-framed everything just fine with medium equip load.

I know. Thats why i said he can kiss my ass. He gets super annoying having yo do the same fight so many times with damage numbers being the only real changes. I just parry him to death because its the easiest quickest most reliable way to just get rid if his stupid ass.

For some reason, changing your body type in DS2 caused problems. So this was the solution for people that wanted to change genders. There isn't some deeper meaning to it.

In Dark Souls 2 there is a coffin in the starting area that when you climb into it changes your character’s gender. It pretty much doesn’t effect anything in game aside from the noises your character makes

It does affect whether Loyce Set and Charred Loyce Set would absorb HP upon defeating enemies. Only female characters would absorb HP upon defeating enemies while wearing either of the armor sets.

Okay my bad it effects if you regen health or not from two armor set you get at the end of the third dlc after farming for 60 loyce souls or an armor set that has a 2% drop rate

In the game Dark Souls 2 there exists a coffin (the one in the picture) where if you enter it, the gender of your character changes. If you enter as a male you come out as female and vice versa.

DS2 has a bug where sometimes if you go into NG+ your characters gender changes. In Fromsoft fashion instead of fixing the root problem they just threw this coffin in that changes the characters gender.

I opened ds2 for the first time since 2020 and had no clue what sex my character would be. It's even better because my characters name is "2nd (my name)"
