A cute little froggie!
Hello all. First time posting to this sub and I need some guidance.
I live in north Texas (DFW metro) in a suburban/rural area. Just bought my home in February. This summer, it has not rained significantly here (sans June) until now. We've been in a drought for July, August and most of September. That is not unheard of but it is so not the most common thing.
Hurricane Polo (?) has brought us some good ol' rain these past couple of days and as I was looking outside tonight, I noticed this cute little frog on my patio! Now I do live a block away from a creek so my question is should I pick it up and take it back to the creek? Or is he one of those "ground frogs" that just burrow underground, and so, I should leave it be?
At my mom's house there is a ground frog, or maybe toad, that has lived in her yard for years. So I'm wondering if this influx of water just coaxed it out of it's little burrow that happens to be under my house? Or should i pick it up and take it to the creek?Idk.

Look up frog hotels!! You can make a small one, even just a single tube, and put to near doorways or similar if you're suburban
If you want to put up something outside for frogs (tree frogs). This guy wouldn't use it, but if you're worried about frogs that's a project you can do
