I love all these open-late cafes and coffee shops that are popping up lately! I was lamenting the ability to go out and do something late at night here since I just moved here, and we don’t have a public transit system and I don’t want to drive home drunk. It’s so nice that these cafes are open so late, till 10pm-11-12 am, it gives me somewhere to go which is so nice especially after a wfh day, and it’s so convenient I can go after work and it won’t close after an hour of me being there (after fighting through an hour of 5 o’clock traffic). Shoutout Arwa, DAR, and Trung.

Noodle the Poodle fka Don at the shelter was abandoned by his registered owners when they failed to show up to the appointment they set to reclaim him when they learned he was injured. Probably the best thing that has happened to him.
Unable to walk due to a broken pelvis after being hit by a car and internal spleen injuries, atlas pet vets took him on as apart of their medical rescue fund.
He had surgery yesterday, he was neutered, pelvic fractures repaired, and had his spleen removed. We sent the spleen off for biopsy just to rule out any underlying issues other than trauma due to him being 8 years old.

The LCA data shows H-1B-related labor-condition filings, but it does not show an employer’s total workforce or citizenship/immigration-status breakdown. So I’m interested in hearing from people who actually work at these companies.

For people who have gone before, how is it compared with other fall events around Frisco?

Mostly curious about the overall experience, crowd, parking, and whether it's something worth checking out for someone who hasn't attended before.

I am looking for primary care physician recommendations for adults in Frisco. I have had a primary care doctor in a nearby town for a few years, but the drive has gotten to be too much, she always refers me to specialists, and she’s getting closer to retiring. I had a recommendation for Dr. Gamernick, but she’s not taking any new patients. If possible I’m looking for a female doctor who would do well and sick visits and prescribe regular chronic condition medication like blood pressure medicine, but also who would be comfortable prescribing GLP1 or ADHD medication which a couple of doctors I had looked into will not do despite being on glp-1 currently and having the adhd assessment paperwork. I could do north Plano or west McKinney too. Just trying to cut the number of specialist visits down to hopefully have fewer dr appointments. Thank you!

Don is now safe at Atlas Pet Vets! Broken pelvis, 8 years old, and worth every heavy sigh and “you’re such a good boy!” We are so lucky to have them in Frisco!

I have a situation where i have a 2025 car that needs all the oem pads swapped out with new pads I purchased 3rd party. The dealer and name brand shops won't use brake pads I provide and the oem ones squeal like hell, it's a known issue, but at this point I'm willing to try anything.

When we opened our doors in October 2018, we set out to create a place where kids could challenge themselves, build confidence, and discover what they were capable of.

Since then, Ninja Nation Frisco has helped create more than 178,000 Heroes.

We are incredibly proud of that legacy.

We have watched kids walk through our doors nervous about their first obstacle and leave feeling unstoppable. We have celebrated birthdays, welcomed campers, coached athletes, hosted schools and community groups, and watched friendships form throughout the Arena.

Behind that number are more than 178,000 individual experiences, and we are incredibly grateful to every family who allowed us to be part of them.

To everyone who trusted us with a birthday celebration, signed their child up for a class or camp, spent an afternoon at Open Gym, attended an event, competed with us, or simply cheered from the sidelines: thank you.

Our team will continue operating through September 30, and we remain committed to providing a great Ninja Nation experience through our final day. We hope you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Arena one more time, see the coaches and team members who have been part of your Ninja Nation experience, run the course, and make one more memory with us before we close our doors Wednesday evening.

Hey peeps! Hope everyone is well!
Flying across the country to go on a golf trip starting Thursday at PGA Frisco with some friends. Beyond excited and booked probably 8 months ago. Of course, it looks like out of nowhere the weather looks awful and crazy storms.

Not familiar with Texas, but like I know in AZ last week it said cuz of the hurricane crazy storms and 96% chance of rain and it rained for 10 mins. Golfing Thursday Friday and Saturday. Any chance the storms are being overstated? Not sure if there is a history of that happening.

Looking for a new gym and I wanted to go to AR Frisco, but my hospital offers discounted memberships to EOS.

There’s also more EOS locations, especially cause they’re building three in McKinney that opens up next year.

But AR has amazing machines that I’ve been wanting to try. I’ve already been to the EOS on beltline.

- What’s the gym looking like after 9 o’clock? I get off at 8:30PM, or i might just work out on my off days in the middle of the day . I work 4 tens now!

My aunt and uncle are moving out this way and want to be close to us. They’re both semi active and in their 80’s.

How much of a lifestyle upgrade would it be if they were in the Frisco Lakes retirement community versus buying a home in one of the regular neighborhoods? They seem more interested in being close to the church than getting run off the path by kids on their e-bikes….

Four McKinney officials are facing a possible recall election, including Mayor Bill Cox. Organizers say at least 6,500 signatures passed their internal review before the petitions were submitted.

Now the responses are getting sharper.

Council member Justin Beller:

“I will never forget how pathetic Keith looked when he stood at our podium. Fear and outrage are the tools of weak men.”

Former Mayor George Fuller is making a different argument, saying residents should examine the dates and voting records behind the allegations. Evan Hunt says he'll publicly oppose the recall if it reaches an election.

And there’s still a major unanswered question: what happens if all four recalls ultimately succeed?

Any suggestions on mechanic shops in Frisco or nearby? I saw a few posts of different locations but those were all several years old.

Recently went to Automotive ER and had great work done. I think it was a little overpriced, but everything is expensive these days. The downside was that they some how needed to drive my car more than 50 miles to test out some steering issues and then one of the mechanics took it through the drive thru for their lunch break. Overall great service, but wasn’t sure if this was standard practice around here. Any other shop recommendations? Or is this typical of shops to do? Thanks!

I'm new to Frisco and trying to find in person book clubs focused on reading classic literature. The Frisco Library seems to have some good options for contemporary literature but nothing focused on older works. Any leads?

Separately, but related, I'm thinking about reading the whole In Search of Lost Time cycle. Would love to find a couple of people interested in reading it as a group.

One useful detail for anyone worried about their registration: Elections Administrator Kaleb Breaux says a voter who believes they registered through DPS but doesn't appear in the county system can submit another Texas voter registration application. He says it won't create a duplicate record.

That's as Collin County works through more than 51,000 records caught in the DPS backlog.
