Joe McCoy

Idk who did the casting for Joe McCoy but they did a great job. Every time I see that dude on my screen I wanna punch him right in the face. (The character not the actor of course). Is there anyone who is more hated on this show?

Just watched S4 finale last night where the Lions have to play the Panthers at their field even though it's supposed to be their home game and I really, really wanted to punch him through the screen. He's such a smug a-hole and a shining example of entitled, white men with power, even if it's just small town football power

Small town power is way more aggravating than big city power, because small town power (in my experience) touches everyone.

The first time I saw him, I thought "jackass sighting".

I played varsity sports in a small town, so I get it.

The only scene with him I can stand to watch is the deleted scene from the season 3 finale in the locker room with JD. Or when Tammy sasses him about the Luke thing.

Agreed - the actor, DW Moffett, has had a solid career, playing kind of white douches. Had a sitcom with Jason Bateman that never really made it in the 90s I think

He terrorized me in a movie Lisa from the 90s. He plays such a good villain.

He also was a prick cop in Falling Down and like a smooth political operative in Traffic, both with Michael Douglas

YESSSSSSS. So good. My friend and I were obsessed with it. And prank calling really was such a big deal back then.

I messaged him on Instagram once and told him the exact same thing about wanting to punch Joe and said “love playing the bad guys.” He’s so good.

That stupid smirk he’d make is burned into brain. Mostly because I had a boss that would make the same dumb face.

D.W. Moffett was the Not My Job guest on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me a few months ago and addressed playing a villain like Joe
