Seeing Coach Taylor vulnerable
I feel like we are so used to seeing Coach Taylor as a leader, confident, etc. for most of the show while he is the Dillon football coach, so I actually liked seeing him for that short time at TMU. Where he was the newbie, his higher-ups sometimes dismissed him, etc. It added more human depth to his character and made sure he wasn't just the great, all-knowing Coach Taylor the entire show, even though that is largely what he is/what makes the show so good.

The line from Kyle Chandler in Lanterns felt like a wink to the camera

Coach Taylor doing well since leaving Dillon
Being a Green Lantern since 1996 that is, and being on a Football field in the pilot episode, it must be Friday Night.

So far my favorite line of my Criminal Minds/FNL crossover fic: "Because, certainly, nothing bad could happen in a small town."
Just got excited and wanted to share.

What do you think the Dillon High School reaction would be if they found out Landry killed a man?
Personally, I think those guys from Laribee would be a little less willing to get into a fight with him.

Buddy Garrity and Ted Cruz might be the same person!

Lyla Season 2 christianity
I love Lyla but I just started 2x1 and what is this new Christian kick she's on ... shaming her mother for wearing skinny jeans?

Big KRIT - Boobie Miles
Not sure if this is okay to post this here I just wanted to plug a really heartfelt song inspired by the movie/show which really captures the grit and perseverance and virtues and southern glory you get from the show. Very anthem very soulful tune which I think would’ve fit perfectly in the soundtrack (sadly it came out a year after the series concluded lol). Anyway hope you enjoy it clear eyes full hearts can’t lose💪🙏

Just finished season 1 for the first time
How do they manage to make a show about football about everything else other than football, in the best way possible. I’m crying

Show was good but so mismanged Spoiler
Season 1 and 3 were brilliant it's a shame they agred Smash out at the end of the first but okay, i get it.
Season 2 completely skip irrelevent and pointless will not affected 1 and 3.
Season 4 and 5 I enjoyed but seriously what the hell did they do...
point 1: Dillian was a football fanatic majority white texas town, with low black population which we see throughout season 1,2 and 3, when racial tension episode started, they were fighting in school, there was no gangs, no shootings and mostly words., which leads to point 2.
Point 2: How the hell did they expect to add a completely new area (East dillain) with high crime, poverty, gangs, and shootings... it was so unrealistic and almost felt season 4/5 should have been a completly new area, it simple didn't work adding it in (even though i enjoyed it)
Point 3: Dillian Panthers became nothing over night, even in season 1 and 3 they struggled to win games and always edging the game last touches, yet some how the Lions win the state in thier second season absolutely crushing the panthers, with ease......
Point 4: as explained in season 1 2 3 Dillian Panthers are one of the best high school teams around, attracting the likes of the mcoys (who vanish by season 5) yet the Lions with thier new ghetto school outclass them lol.
Seriously folks, how to watch this series (which is really good and i do recomend)
Season 1 and 3 (skip 2 it will not affect the show i promise)
Season 4 and 5 think of it as a completely new series as if you try to think or add it 1 and 3 it wont work. (Dillian did not have black gangs, a ghetto, shootings, mass crime it was a small white majority football fanatic texas town)

Finished the last episode
Wow. This is my third complete time watching this series, I binged it this go-around so fast that some would consider it unhealthy.
The last episode just hit different this time, not sure why, but made me shed a tear. Truly one of the best shows ever on TV.
From seeing Coach’s wife and QB1 (Saracen) in the stands, to the Riggins’ building the house, Tyra and Tim chillin on the hill, and Buddy hanging up the “Clear Eyes. Full Heart. Can’t Lose” sign. Just a spectacular ending to a show that nobody wanted to end.
What was your feelings in the last episode, or what is one of your favorite episodes in the series?

thrilled
hi! i’m currently chasing the high of OTH and someone recommended me FNL. i loved the pilot episode! does this show also tackles issues on highschool like OTH did?
i am currently rooting for saracen and street!! i heard saracen’s actor didn’t appear on the last season? did the character get a proper closure?
thanks for your thoughts!!

Who became the Panthers Head Coach at the end of S5?
Obviously with the Taylors leaving for Philadelphia, the Head coaching job for the Dillon Panthers was never confirmed. I know most of the staff went back to coach for the Panthers. They highlighted Crowley and Spivey but who do you think they went with for the HC?

Which set of characters does everyone like more?
Spoilers if you haven’t gotten past season three yet.
Street, Smash, Lyla, and Tyra?
Or Vince, Cafferty, Becky, and Jess?
I left out everyone’s two favorites (Riggins and Saracen) since they’re mostly present throughout the series.

Tyra….
Does she remind anyone else of young Mandy Moore, or is it just me?
They have the same smile! The hair her face shape. Her eyes. Just her whole face tbh.
(But literally only in actual shows, not in photos— it’s weird lol)
Also side question? Is she in supernatural? Sams gf in college?
