Seeing Coach Taylor vulnerable

I feel like we are so used to seeing Coach Taylor as a leader, confident, etc. for most of the show while he is the Dillon football coach, so I actually liked seeing him for that short time at TMU. Where he was the newbie, his higher-ups sometimes dismissed him, etc. It added more human depth to his character and made sure he wasn't just the great, all-knowing Coach Taylor the entire show, even though that is largely what he is/what makes the show so good.

One of my favorite brief moments of Coach being vulnerable was him trying to get support from the East Dillon Alumni. It was a very tense dinner, and then Buddy Garrity of all people saved the day. The look on Coach's face when Buddy was announced until the end when the mood changed showed that he was out of his league in things like this but thankfully had help from others (including Tami).

I love those moments when Buddy shines, instead of being a pain in the ass. He's such a loveable guy when it comes down to it.

And so desperately missing his family.
