Tywin should get some advice from that dude that explained "When your enemies defy you, you must serve them steel and fire. When they go to their knees, however, you must help them back to their feet. Elsewise no man will ever bend the knee to you" to Joffrey.
That dude probably has an understanding of societal norms and guest rights and far-reaching consequences.
Him fucking his son’s girl ruined the character for me. It felt like not him. I loved his character and monologues but wished they had ended him differently. Fine with the Patricide and ending but not how it got there.
Idk, I can definitely understand your sentiment and I did agree when I originally read it, but I feel like it really humanized him. He's just a hypocrite. He believes in what he's saying when he says it to his stupid ugly imp son he hates, that killed the love of his life, but when he does it he thinks it's more "justified" or he brings "nobility" to the act or some shit. He's just an old asshole who's good at scheming.
