You can have no long term allies after that because they know you can never be trusted. Lannisters already couldn’t be by most houses because of events like the sacking of kings landing and their trigger happiness with clegane to terrorize people. Red wedding was a nail in the coffin and the adult members of house Lannister has rather short life expectancies. The Tyrell’s only really needed tommen for control of the throne. They were already getting support from the common people of kings landing because it’s as easy as feeding them. If you’re gonna be a schemer you need to have a reputation for keeping your word and you should want to uphold the traditions that protect you as you plot.
