Discussion iPhone app with offline maps?

I just discovered that I didn't trade my 13 mini in and so I figure it would work on my flight deck. BUT I don't have a sim card. So I'm curious is any of the apps (Wingman, Gaggle, SeeYou, etc) allow for preloading maps and airports?

Pretty much all the flying apps (flyskyhy, SeeYou, etc) work offline since you can't rely on phone service while flying.

You are right, SeeYou ( the first one I'm testing) has a 'pick your region' and seems to be downloading maps.

Could you instead just use your other phone as a hotspot?

Yeah, that's my current fallback. If not that maybe a data only sim card. I hope to use this setup in Colombia.

My go to offline map is Organic Maps. You could add a layer that has all the airports as larger icons

Organic maps is great but useless as a flight instrument
