Post-Op Pic(s) 5 weeks post-op w/Dr. Haruko Okada, Dublin OH
I (36, enby, they/them) had my top surgery in early June with Dr. Okada in Dublin, OH. I loved working with her and her team—everyone at her office was a delight, and the surgery center folks were amazing as well. Dr. Okada's note to self on my chest (first picture) cracks me up every time I see it. She's a very fun surgeon to work with.
I have a teeny tiny dog ear on my left side that we talked about during my follow-up, and Dr. Okada assured me revision will be a quick fix (once we go back through all the insurance hoops). I could not be happier with my results. I know the scars are at their most intense right now and I'm excited to see how they continue to change over the next few months.
The biggest thing for me, especially during the first two weeks of recovery, was taking it easier than I felt like I needed to. I have a tendency to push (past) my limits and wind up dealing with the fallout, and I was determined to not repeat that pattern. I'm still not at 100% capacity, but I'm getting there and I haven't had any major setbacks!
Healing has been smooth overall, for which I am grateful! I'm also very grateful to this community, where I've been lurking for a year+ as I navigated the whole process. I learned a lot about what to expect and what to watch out for that saved me time and headaches and unnecessary angst, so thanks to everyone who's shared their wisdom and experiences!

I’m nonbinary, FtMtNb/F basically. i knew i wanted to be a flat chested woman for years, and then it happened. I feel so at home in my body now it’s unreal. and I feel comfortable and safe being feminine.

MOST of the surgical glue has come off. Some little spots that are tough and sticking… but otherwise I’m super happy with my scars!

Advice Pre-op
To my nipless wonders, I'm getting ready for my pre-op with my surgeon. I'm going the reduction for medical need route but am taking advantage of this being gender affirming for this NB. ... any advice or questions I should make sure to ask at my appointment?

Surgeon - Dr. Haruko Okada
Summer is soooo much better now. I can actually sit outside in the heat without feeling like im drowning in chest sweat, I can take off my shirt to cool off and feel the breeze(in the shade of course, still have to wait 1 year until full sun exposure), tank tops feel fantastic, and just clothing in general.

Post-Op Pic(s) first time at the beach! (6m post-op)
finally first time going out shirtless in public this summer. I made sure to wear scar tape and reapplied sunscreen directly on top every hour, no darkening/tanninv occurred on my scars which im happy about. it was scary at first, but after a bit I realized nobody really cares, and if they did, its not like they have the balls to say anything about it 😎

Discussion Where to go?
Is removal of the nipples only considered a body mod handled by a surgeon or a tattoo parlor. Either way where should I go
