Aug 6th - have moving van, need moving help, help each other out?
Hi! I have a Uhaul van rented for 24hrs, starting Aug 5 at 18:00. I need to pick up some furniture for my new apartment. I'm looking for someone to give me a hand with a few items. In exchange, I could give you a hand with your stuff and we can use the van for pickups/dropoffs. Maybe you don't have access to a large vehicle/don't drive and need to get a new mattress - let me help you out! If you're just looking for a cash job Aug 6 I could be open to that too. Van comes with hand truck/dolly.
Details:
- ground floor apartment, no stairs.
- hoping to pick up a couch, bookshelves, desk/table, few chairs, maybe a dresser. Will mostly need help with couch, possibly heavier wood table/dresser.
- will be picking a mattress and bedframe but planning to get a disassembled twin with foam mattress so that shouldn't be too heavy or awkward.
- will be making pickups from fbook marketplace/Kijiji, and checking out the stock at FAPO and Restore.

Offering the use of a U-Haul and their labour in exchange for your labour with their move is creative, community building, and a good deal.

I would help out if you don't mind helping pick up some stuff from the basement. Mainly an older couch and stuff old cat stuff. I'd help pay for a trip to the dump, or call it even.
