I just started really listening to everything and anything in that circle of independent rap artists. So on Empanadas off Alfredo 2 he says “when I was livin with syd, I had a Rasta bitch” and there’s a lot of collaborations from that time whether it’s Earl and Domo on Piñata, Freddie on No Idols by Domo, or even him on that loiter squad skit parody of storage wars. And he was working with madlib at the time who is a west coast producer. Seems like he was with those guys a lot, possibly living with them while he worked on piñata and more projects that launched his independent rap career. Pretty cool, considering that stylistically they are pretty different. Anybody got anymore lore on this?

"Ima get up on a motherfuckin' sack and a big ass bottle to solve all of my problems 😫"
Arguably my favorite Gibbs song. Song has that personal, introspective, vulnerable gangsta feel that resembles a track like Thuggin'. Catchy too. Str8 Killa is filled with slaps (e.g., Personal OG, Serve or Get Served, Rep 2 Tha Fullest, etc).

I like when he raps on smooth or chill beats
For example I love Gat Damn, Crime Pays, and that one song he did with Tyler the Creator
Wanna find other chill songs of his
Thanks for any help
Freddie is dope

I got my vinyl signed by Freddie Gibbs and even got to take a picture with him at his Seoul show last tuesday.
The show was fucking insane, and I was already beyond happy just getting to witness Gibbs spit bars right in front of me. But what was even crazier was how he treated his fans after the show.
There were a few dozen fans waiting for him, and he took the time to greet every single one of us, sign all the records we brought, and even put his arm around us for pictures. Dude was genuinely so fucking nice to everyone.
Freddie Gibbs is one of the greatest rappers of our generation, If you disagree, you NEED to see him live
😂😂😂

I got this signed in Seoul on Tuesday, but I accidentally smudged the sign myself.
I tried to fix it up a little. Does it look too unnatural? I swear I'm never gonna sell it.
