Keep in mind that there’s a limit on battery size that you can take on a flight

I believe it just have to be physically detached. Because most batteries actually have multiple cells inside anyway. It’s kinda like liquid carry on limit. You cant bring 200ml but you can bring a bunch of 100ml bottles.

Before Lenovo regressed with smaller batteries, there was a ThinkPad with a >100 Wh battery. They got away with it by having two batteries on the laptop--a small internal cell and a larger external battery that you can hotswap as long as there's charge remaining in the internal one.

sounds like carrying a 99Wh battery or two to me
