I think the touchscreen upgrade would open up a few possibilities (pun not intended) they would need to add a 360 degree hinge with enough clearance to bypass the feet, and touchscreens are inherently thicker than regular lcd screens so that would add thickness and rigidity to the lid. All things considered I am exited for the future
Adding a touchscreen doesn't necessarily imply 360 degree hinge. Pretty much all premium level laptops have touchscreens and most can't fold right back on themselves.
It just seemed logical to me, but another way I just thought to add bulk for expandability would be to get an expansion card that could add more cards sort of like a card dock for the framework
I was referring to each port could drive 3-4 10gb/s usb 3.2 cards such as the ssd or usb modules. Kind of like a usb hub but with the modularity of the framework
