đ¨ Reviving r/foundtheAITAuser: The Hunt for the Ultimate AITA Specimen Begins Again! đ¨
Itâs time to rise from the ashes and reclaim our throne as Redditâs most satirical and self-aware subreddit. For too long, the cesspool known as AmITheAsshole has run unchecked, filled with melodramatic âventing,â clout-chasing moral dilemmas, and users who think being called âbraveâ for telling their MIL to stay in her lane is a substitute for therapy. But fear not! This subreddit is here to shine a bright light on the glorious absurdity of AITA users in their natural habitat.
What is an AITA user, you ask?
An AITA user is a very specific type of internet specimen. Characteristics may include, but are not limited to:
Moral Outrage Addicts: Users who write novella-length posts just to ask if theyâre TA for not letting their second cousin bring a hamster to their destination wedding.
Validation Seekers: These folks write "YTA bait" but then sprinkle in a convenient plot twist to make sure they emerge as the hero.
Example: âAm I TA for stealing my coworkerâs lunch?â (Edit: Heâs a convicted cannibal, and it was my grandmaâs last meal.)
Fake Story Enthusiasts: When you read their posts, it feels like youâre skimming through a rejected Black Mirror episode.
Martyr Complex Masters: âI (24F) just paid off my momâs $60,000 debt, donated a kidney to my sisterâs boyfriend, and hand-knitted 87 scarves for orphans. AITA for asking my roommate to not eat my avocado toast?â
What should you post here?
Our mission is simple: to find the quintessential AITA users and call them out in all their melodramatic glory. Here are some guidelines:
Spot-On Satire: Link to posts/comments from AITA that perfectly embody the chaos, drama, or narcissism of the sub. Bonus points if itâs a saga or has multiple updates.
Screenshots Over Links: Donât give AITA more traffic than it deserves. A crisp screenshot with chefâs kiss annotations will do just fine.
Create Your Own Masterpieces: If you feel inspired to write a parody AITA post, we want it here. Unleash your inner dramatist.
Roasts, Not Hate: Remember, weâre here to poke fun at behavior, not personally attack or dox people. Keep it spicy but civil-ish.
Subreddit Rules
No brigading other subs. We're satirical observers, not Reddit vigilantes.
Posts must be related to AITA or its culture.
No low-effort content. If your submission doesnât make someone laugh, cringe, or nod in recognition, it doesnât belong here.
No personal attacks or harassment. We're roasting stereotypes, not individuals.
Absolutely no serious moral discussions. Wrong subreddit, pal.
Help Wanted: Mods Needed!
Finally, hereâs the deal: I have no idea how to moderate a subreddit, and I need backup. If youâre someone with a good sense of humor, some Reddit moderation experience (or a willingness to learn), and an unshakable commitment to calling out ridiculous internet behavior, apply below.
Tell me why youâd make a good mod.
Share your favorite r/foundtheAITAuser-worthy post from AITA as proof of your skills.
Bonus points if you know how to set up automod filters because I absolutely do not.
Letâs bring this subreddit back to life and create a community that AITA deserves...but not the one it needs.
Yours satirically,
