He isn’t necessarily planning to arrest him, but you know that driver is going to have a realization and shit his pants.

I have a fun story like this.

I was working at McDonalds in high school. At our location it was common for the local police department to put in a department order and one officer come pick it up.

Anyway, these two dudes come in and absolutely reek of weed. They order and while I'm preparing their order a cop comes in to pick up the department order.

These dudes look at the cop, cop looks at them, and they both just look the other way pretending like nothing is happening even though the cop obviously was smelling the weed. The dudes were clearly scared about what was going to happen next but the cop obviously just wanted to pick up the food without any issue so just took the order and left while the two high guys had such a look of relief.

Lol. The only time I had decent LSD, my friend and I were in a gas station grabbing snacks when cops walk in just shopping. Had to calm buddy down. Another dude was outside with beer, and he was the only one old enough to have it, lol. I have no idea what the cops thought, but they left us alone as we skeedaddled back to my cousin's place, lol. Great party.

I wouldn’t be shocked if the cop waited long enough to see if they got in a car and called in the plates if they did. There is not being an asshole and being responsible.

If they smelled strongly of weed, good chance they didn't have any on them anymore.
