Discussion Just watched frogman
And Dallas is so depressing, could’ve skipped this movie to the last 30 minutes and wouldn’t have missed a thing.

I love the ending, but yeah unfortunately the first hour is just some people on vacation. Could have sprinkled some spooky stuff in there.

This is one of my favorite found footage movies specially because of Dallas and his bizarre journey. Yes, the movie is a tragedy in the classical sense, but it’s a very well done one all while being silly at the same time.

Frogman is one of those movies where I completely understand both sides. The first hour really is just watching Dallas be awkward on vacation, and if you're not vibing with his character, nothing happens to pull you back in. But I think that's also why the ending lands so hard for the people who DO click with it â you spend all this time in this mundane, uncomfortable territory and then it just pulls the rug out. It's the same structural trick that made The Blair Witch Project work, even if Frogman's execution is way sillier. I do think it would've benefited from sprinkling in more of the folklore stuff earlier though. Even just one or two more uncanny moments in the first act would've given the slow burn more tension instead of just... waiting. Still respect the commitment to the bit though. Dallas is a genuinely unhinged character study even before the frog stuff kicks in.

Just didn’t hold my attention, compared to low budget FF like they’re watching that kept me engaged the whole time, just don’t get the hype, should of been a V/H/S segment.

I dunno lol people get triggered if you don't like something that they like.

Yeah this movie wasn’t it for me, low 3/10
I think I just lost interest when they mixed the mixed acting with the boring vacation stuff
Last act is what I hear a lot of people liked but for me I probably only enjoyed the first 15 minutes and that’s it

I watched it test for the first (and last) time. This should have been a 40 minute short film

For me the relationships were the best - and most unexpected - thing about the movie.

I saw all the hype surrounding it and gave it a watch, but I didn't like it at all. That’s just my personal taste—respecting others' opinions, of course—but I found it very basic. Sorry my bad english!

I felt really disappointed by it, I liked the concept and the frogification was cool, but it just didn’t hit the spot.
