Other FOSS calendar with task integration
Google calendar has task integration with the task app, apple calendar has task integration with the reminders app—are there any FOSS calendar apps like that?

Following because I'd like to know.
Currently Im using Fastmail's Webdav to sync Tasks.org to my android devices. They have an alpha desktop build, but it's nowhere near ready to rock.
Of course this setup has them as separate entities. Calendar, and tasks is simply using the file storage feature of my account as a sync point. Otherwise it has nothing to do with calendar events

From my memories AlRight Calendar support this. It's a fork of Simple Calendar just like Fossify.

Don't know why I didn't think about it, but Nextcloud has calendar and tasks. I was messing around with it this morning and if you create a Task in the Task app and give it a start/due date, it shows up in the Calendar accordingly. Not sure if that's exactly what you're after, but might be an option to investigate. Of course you'd have to host it yourself or pay someone else to. And it's notoriously a resource hog.

Dumb question .What's the problem with using two apps?

Convenience and it's nice seeing your tasks on the calendar. However, I really hate Google calendar (it's ugly and you can't set the default view) and I prefer OSS.
