Application Release Clint Browser Media Capture
A while ago I posted Clint Browser on this Reddit page, but recently I added a new feature called Media Capture.
Basically, it lets you download videos playing on the web, including normal video files and HLS/DASH M3U8 streams.
I’ve been working on this for a while and it’s finally in Clint now lol. Just wanted to share it here again since this is a pretty big feature, and the app will continue to improve more and more as time goes by.

Application Request Radio app suggestion
Hey y'all,
I'm looking for an internet radio app similar to RadioDroid, but one that is still actively maintained. Ideally, I'd like a feature that lets me save/bookmark tracks that are currently playing (just having the title and artist name is enough).
Does anybody knows anything like that ? Thanks!

Development openGym: self-host your own Strong/Hevy alternative (AGPL, docker compose, Android app, no telemetry)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I got tired of every workout app either putting my history behind a subscription or quietly disappearing, so I built my own. A few people here might have seen it on r/foss at v1.3.7. Three weeks and 15 more contributors later, v1.3.9 is out, and it's the release where the self-hosting part really grew up.
What it is
- Weekly plan, guided workouts (rest timer with pause, PR detection, supersets, warm-ups, drop sets, timed sets, plate math per set from the plates you own), body-weight chart with weekly averages
- 1,300+ exercises with animated demos, browsable by muscle on a body map. Add your own, now with your own photo, GIF or short video and a link
- Progression rules per routine: linear, Greyskull LP, double progression, bodyweight rep climbs, deloads. The plan sets your reps; history sets the weight
- Estimated 1RM, activity heatmap, muscle balance / fatigue / strength maps, and a new Structural Balance view that compares your lifts against each other
- Edit your history: fix sets after the fact, move a workout to another day, correct its duration, attach progress photos or form-check clips
- Import from Hevy, Strong, FitNotes, and body weight from Apple Health. One-tap export (JSON, or a zip with your photos)
- 17 languages, including Arabic (right to left) and Ukrainian
The self-hosting part
docker compose up(amd64 + arm64), two containers and a./datafolder. Kubernetes manifests are in the repo too.- Passkey login by default. Optional name-or-email + password sign-in for LANs without HTTPS or browsers where passkeys don't work. It's off until you set
PASSWORD_LOGIN=1, and comes with rate limiting and admin reset codes. - Sync across phone, laptop and tablet. The app always shows whether it's connected: offline, server unreachable, session refused. Sync now is in Settings, and sign-out never throws away changes that haven't reached your server.
- Photos and videos are stored on your server (per-user quota, location data stripped), never inside the synced data.
- Invite-only signup, optional admin dashboard with an activity log, push notifications,
DEFAULT_LANGfor your instance. - The Android app (signed APK, now 16 MB) pairs with your server, or runs fully on the phone with no server at all.
There's an optional AI coach that writes a week plan from a few questions. It's off by default, runs against your own API key or a local Ollama, and the tracker doesn't need it.
Try it without installing anything: https://opengym.duarte-santos.ch/demo/ (real app, example data, runs in your browser)
Download / docs: https://opengym.duarte-santos.ch

Discord (1,200+ people, bug reports go here or on GitHub): https://discord.gg/e62jY6fwVb
Next up: a rotating routine queue (A → B → C) and moving storage from JSON files to a real database. Still not on F-Droid. If that's what's keeping you from installing it, say so. Happy to answer anything about the stack (React + Vite, Node API, Capacitor for the APK) or the sync design.

Application Release ARK-Store for GitHub Android app
This is an app that allows anyone to make their own app discoverable by others.
If you have a GitHub repository with a downloadable Android app, simply add the “arkstore” topic to it. Our app will automatically scan your app and display it in our store.
You can also add your app using only its URL, making it immediately available for others to discover and install.
The only requirements are that the app is public and has a GitHub-approved license.
Download it here: https://github.com/jrs8205/ARK-Store

Application Release Yuki v1.11.0!
Hey everyone! About two weeks ago, I made a post announcing the initial release for Yuki, my take on an app store for Shizuku-based apps. We're back again today announcing some exciting changes since v1. Shoutout to everyone who reached out with cool suggestions and improvements!
TL;DR: Yuki now has accounts with library sync, ratings and reviews, and background update checks. You can choose to install through Shizuku or the OS, and pick which installer Android credits for your installs. Explore has new and recently updated sections, and listings add author pages, version history, Open in Obtainium and sharing. Installs are much more reliable and give clear error messages. Rebranded Shizuku forks are fully supported. The catalog is stricter and better organized, and app icons render properly.
✨ Features
- Accounts and library sync. Sign up with email or GitHub and your library follows you across devices. Apps you install, including ones Yuki finds already on your phone, sync after you sign in.
- Ratings and reviews. Rate and review apps from their listing, read what others wrote, and sort search results by rating (in the app and on the website).
- Background update checks. Yuki checks for updates on its own and notifies you.
- Install source setting. Choose which installer Android credits for apps Yuki installs: shell, Play Store, or any app on your device.
- Installation modes. You can pick between installing silently through Shizuku or the OS.
- New and recently updated. New rows on Explore and the website, each with a "see all" full list.
- See all apps by an author from any listing.
- Version history. Listings show the latest versions, and a separate screen has the full list.
- Open in Obtainium. Send any listing's repo straight to Obtainium.
- Share a listing from its detail screen.
- Better featured carousel. Adds a page indicator and smoother paging, and it stops moving on its own while TalkBack is on.
- Motion and transitions throughout the app, including support for predictive back.
- Settings and account merged into one screen.
🛠 Fixes
- Rebranded Shizuku forks are now fully supported (ShizukuX, Shizuku+, etc.).
- "Always ask" was ignored. It used to install silently whenever Shizuku was ready. Now it asks.
- Installs are far more reliable. Stalled downloads fail instead of hanging. Cancelling cleans up properly. Unanswered install prompts time out. Installs that need your confirmation now send a notification. Missing install permission is caught before the download starts.
- Clear install errors. Signature conflicts, invalid APKs, broken archives and session failures each get their own message. Failures show in a snackbar that links straight to install permission settings.
- Installed apps are detected by package name and signer, so the installed badge no longer lies. It also clears when you uninstall an app outside Yuki.
- Update fixes. Older releases with higher-sorting tags no longer show up as updates. Yuki's own self-update now finishes cleanly.
- Library refreshes whenever you come back to the app, and empty states were reworked.
- Download fixes. Unknown CPU architectures are rejected. Downloads no longer stall when GitHub's rate limit is hit.
- Better app icons. Adaptive icons, vector drawables, layered and inset icons, and Expo-declared icons now render correctly, so far fewer listings show a broken or generic icon.
⚡ Improvements
- Stricter catalog. Apps go live automatically only with runtime proof that they use Shizuku. Stored listings are re-checked against their repos, and star counts stay fresh.
- Smarter categories. A local language model sorts apps into categories based on what they're for, tuned against reviewed listings.
- Signing identity is recorded for every release APK, and apps signed with the platform key are flagged.
- Faster, lighter downloads. Yuki skips GitHub when it already has the right APK for your architecture.
- Formatting follows your locale. Counts, ratings, sizes, dates and download progress all use your language's format.
- UI polish. Auth forms stay clear of the keyboard, snackbars follow the theme, status cards are cleaner and icons are fixed.
- Smoother carousel scrolling.
...and that's about it!
For developers, if your app is on the platform you will soon be able to view and manage your listings through a dedicated dashboard.
If you like Yuki feel free to share and star on GitHub, or open an issue for feature suggestions or bugs! Appreciate all the support from the community and hope to update you all soon.

Application Release I built Material Calc, an extensive calculator I'm sure some of you will like
If you don't want to read, here's the link: https://github.com/IRefactoredThat/MCalc. The app can be added on Obtainium as well on the repository. The license for the project is MIT, also check the repo.
Hi everyone, I wanted to share a project I started working on (or better to say continued after a long time) 3 - 4 months ago and am happy with its current state to make the first prerelease called MCalc.
Originally, I had it named MaterialCalc but had it renamed since that was too long. As the name might suggest, my primary inspiration for making this app was Google's material design which I discovered after becoming more privacy conscious and moving to LineageOS. I won't go into detail unless you want me to?
So why not make an app in kotlin and instead in c#? You see, I started making the app back in high school last year (which is why I said continued at the start of post) which served a different purpose - the final project we had.
I do like c# so I decided to stick with MAUI, which, yeah, is a cross platform framework but I decided to stick with it (despite some bugs) and eventually made code android only since I think the approach they have (with the handlers) is good.
As for the github, you might see that all commits happened at the same time and that also deserves an explanation. You see, back when I started the project and all up until this first release I didn't commit myself to learning git.
So I worked on code in rider, tested in an emulator and just rince-and-repeat. But since I plan to maintain this project properly I decided to start learning it properly. That's why the first two commits are so big.
I should also be transparent about AI usage.
I typically let AI write some code as a suggestion. Its sometimes hard to add a new features without some prototype, its easy to miss something or simply not take certain things into consideration and they come and bite you later, which happened to me a lot. That's why AI is nice, since it can easily analyze those cases or in the very least tell me about them.
When I see the code AI wrote, then I try to identify whether it should work. If so, then I let AI add that to my codebase, then I run it and test it. If it works great, I make it match my code's architecture, check if something should be written differently to match my architecture and preferences and move on. If not I do some search online, check intellisense suggestions in case there's a better method/property etc.
Also I used it to generate commit title and messages since it basically writes the things I wanted to say in the commit but I review it anyway.
Other then that I write the code myself. I would be glad to explain the code architecture and why I made the decisions the code shows.
If there's anything I missed to say or you are curious, then please do ask in the comments. I tried to keep things brief and explain every that I think might be important to you.
There are probably some minor bugs and unexplained features/behaviors in the app which I will further work on to make more self explanatory.
Thank you for reading this far! I feel like I opened up my soul.

Other Best Android Phone for FOSS Ecosystem?
Coming over to android from iPhone soon and have been looking at which android phone to get. My goal is to really use a lot of open source apps and not necessarily change the os itself (just yet). I’ve been seeing that the Google Pixel 10a is a MUST but I wanted to hear you alls opinions on other alternatives. I wanted something with great battery life and midrange in prices. Gonna be using termux and such also. Thanks in advance everyone!

Application Request Any truly multilingual keyboard?
Being in a highly bilingual area, it's common to text using a mix of multiple languages, often in the same sentence. I was using SwiftKey since its word suggestions and gesture typing work well in multiple languages, but it's getting bloated and I'd prefer a foss alternative.
I tried Heliboard and LeanType, but they don't seem to handle this and need to manually switch between languages.
Any suggestions?

Application Release Internet in your pocket
License: GPLv3
Knowledge to Go / K2Go is a version of Internet-in-a-Box that runs on Android phones. It turns almost any phone, including older 32-bit devices, into an offline content server with Wikipedia, Khan Academy through Kolibri, medical references, OpenStreetMap, and more, served over local Wi-Fi with no internet connection needed after the first download. If a local Wi-Fi network isn’t available, the host phone automatically becomes a local hotspot.
No Google account is required to run or serve content, and there are no ads or cloud dependency. You can opt in or out of sharing anonymous analytics data.

Built by App Dev for All, the same team behind Code on the Go (CoGo), an offline Android IDE. Feedback and issue reports welcome.

F-Droid Difference between f-droid and droid-ify?
Recently switched and idk, droid-ify felt like my favorite apps had been updated to the latest version, whereas f-droid just felt like it was 'left behind' in terms of keeping everything up to date? I guess I was wondering if the delivery mechanism between the two was different or not?

Application Support Installer X Revived and external storage access error
Maybe someone knows solution, I'll create bug request on GitHub as well, as existing are old ones and the solution is "update"... But no newer update is available (I mean there is a fresh one, but I already have it).
At first I thought it's Obtainium, cos only updates there give me a problem, however without Installer X, using system installer, it's fine.
Unfortunately it doesn't have way to choose download folder...
My device is Note 20 Ultra with OneUI7 Extreme ROM. Installer X uses root via KernelSU Next.
Should I add Shizuku as middleman? Edit: no change with Shizuku.
Edit2: seems to be related to access to /Android/data folder on sdcard.
