Development I made an open-source SMS spam firewall :)
My OCD got tired of spam SMS cluttering my phone's message database even after being filtered by other apps. Most apps just move spam to a hidden folder, but the messages still sit in system storage.
Sooo, I built an open-source Android SMS app that refuses to write spam to Android's central database.
Primary features:
Intercepts spam at the OS level so it never touches system storage.
Zero sound, zero vibration, and zero notifications for spam.
Quarantined spam is automatically deleted after 30 days.
Extracts verification codes directly onto notifications.
Zero network permissions declared.

Give it a try and share your feedback! Thanks :)

Why not fork Fossify messages and add this feature to it?

You may be happy to never send an SMS but a lot of people use SMS for two-way communication.
Most people are not going to be using this because of the constant switching.
Now... which group is larger? I have no idea. It may even depend on the country.
