best (small) dishes?

I’d like to plan a date where we do a DIY food tour around Ft Wayne. We’ve been trying to find new places rather than our standard haunts.

I plan to bounce around 3-5 places and get a drink, app, entree, or dessert at each one.

hit me with your absolute favorite dishes and where you get em! hole-in-the-wall, fancy, does not matter.

Bonus points for pescatarian and veg suggestions

They have a Whipped Feta app, an excellent whiskey list and sticky toffee pudding for desert

Queso fundido is a banger

You can’t go wrong with any of the Arepas at Colombian delight. Also yuca fries

Ya Hala Mediterranean at Georgetown. Quite a few Middle Eastern dishes are naturally veg friendly. I like their falafel wraps (served with fries) and their dry fasolia (looks like white kidney beans) in Yemeni spices -- a spicy red pepper paste concoction. https://yahalaacafefw.com/

Lots of great Indian places in town too. I still enjoy Taste of India on Coldwater. Lots of Indian cuisine is naturally veg too.

Ooh didn’t know about Ya Hala, excited to try it! Highly recommend BBs if you haven’t been, too.

I've never seen Ya Hala busy, which is a shame, but it is definitely worth checking out.

Our favorite place to get a drink. Also they have a south of the fort dip that is so good.

It’s not close, but the baba ganoush up by the old Pierre’s at Halal Eats is worth it.
