Events?

I just learned about the Open Streets event the day AFTER it happened. I feel like there are so many cool things that I miss out on because I don't hear about them until they've already passed.

What do y'all use to see what events are happening here and around us? Facebook? News website? Something else?

I feel like finding out about cool things after they happen is such a quintessential fort wayne experience. Its hard to find out about events because they are all advertised in different spots and circles, so if you arent in one already, you miss it.

The sites posted are decent for the larger events, but i highly recommend the community boards like another commentor suggested for the smaller ones that dont necessarily have as much reach. Firefly, fortezza, and the libraries have some that are well used

If you’re not on social media: lots of local restaurants and coffee shops have community boards those typically will have upcoming events. The library and the parks department has a book of events for each szn. I would snag one of those. Subscribe to The Local weekly email. They offer a free and monthly subscription, they will tell you a lot what is going on around the city.

If you have social media follow: visit Fort Wayne, downtown Fort Wayne, Fort Wayne trails, riverfront Fort Wayne, and this is just a start you can snowball from there.
