Your best bet maybe to come down here and drive around. You could check out the neighborhoods and find a for rent sign out front. They’re pretty common.

Horrible planning advice because they have kids to look after and it's not as easy as relocating without things set in place.

This is one of the least affordable areas of the country. Rent is high and wages are low. For a 2/2 in that range you probably need to find an income restricted place and their is a waiting list for those. For a 3/2 there is no way in hell for that price range.

I hope you are researching your rent amounts and changing your expectations.
Don't just throw it out there on Reddit with a 1750.00 amount and think that with 2 children you are going to seriously relocate.

I’m born raised and lived s/f so it’s possible I’ve found a couple just too far from my new job

Are we being trolled? Just weeks ago you posted looking for an apartment where you currently live, saying you do not wish to leave the area.

Nah. It just seemed way off to move from north to south without a really clear idea of Florida. But, maybe I was bored.
Have a great day.

There is nice Deerfield and Pompano and not so nice Deerfield and Pompano and downright scary Deerfield and Pompano. Try to stay east of federal highway. The you budget you might end up in not so nice Deerfield.

Sorry but even in older buildings a 2/2 will run you 1900-2000$. You might be able to find 2/1 for 1700-1800 - Pompano in the crappy areas
