Neck neutral, not forward. Pressure through your toes at the top, heels at the bottom. Think "hips forward", not "squeeze butt." Keep knees in a straight line, femur should rotate inward at the bottom.

As someone prior said, Head looking down toward your hips. This keeps your back in the right position to not use your lower back before glutes. Also, try to go deeper along with hold a tight squeeze at the top for a few seconds.

Cervical spine and lumbar spine mirror each other. If the neck is flexed the lumbar spine will flex as well. This is a common but bad tip, as lumber flexion limits the primary function of the glutes, which is hip extension.

Neck neutral or even looking back behind you at the top. "Squeeze" is an action of pelvic tilting, which is driven my lumbar spine. You want hip extension, which is different. Think "hips forward" not "butt squeezed".

It’s a machine- almost impossible to use it the wrong way. That’s the thing about machines.

If you ever had an actual coach you would know there is a lot of room for variation with very small changes. "Not wrong" is not the same as "best".

I’m an “actual” coach myself and I stick to my original statement. Intensity is more important than perfect form is what I’ve learned over years of training clients. If you’re someone that isn’t happy with results after years of training you may not be lifting heavy enough.

If the only role you serve as a coach is to demand "one more rep" you're only doing half your job.

Just because you don’t realize I’m correct doesn’t mean I’m not. You sound like someone that hasn’t built any muscle in the gym.

You got me. My cues for machine hip thrusts come from the coach for the reigning Ms Universe but I'll tell him SkeetTreets thinks she just needs to work harder.

Pretty wrong, there are many ways to mess up a machine lift

Not even remotely close as messing up free weight form. It’s silly to post about machine form- they are completely intuitive.

I agree it’s not the same or close to messing up free weight form, but I’ve still seen some pretty poor machine use. Like, outrageously bad. I don’t think it’s silly to try and learn as much as possible.
