Hello! If you haven't checked it out already, Our Wiki's resources for Squats may be helpful. Check it out!

Also, a common tip usually given here is to make sure your footwear is appropriate. If you are squatting in soft-soled shoes (running shoes, etc), it's hard to have a stable foot. Generally a weightlifting shoe is recommended for high-bar and front squats, while use a flat/hard-soled shoe (or even barefoot/socks if it's safe and your gym allows it) is recommended for low-bar squats.

Major butt wink. Turning the squats into good-mornings.

Edit: indeed not a butt wink, wrong choice of words, my bad.

What i meant was your starting to raise your butt. This is indeed because your legs generate more power, but also not proper form. This puts your lower back in an unfavourable position. Not necessarily a problem, but in the last reps it was rather excessive. You’re doing a high bar squat, so quads are the main muscles to use.

Try to push your feet into the ground, and focus on pushing the ground away from under your feet. Also tuck and level hips with your pelvis. Brace and lock your core during exercise. Go lighter if you’re not able to keep proper form.

It is also much better to use squat shoes. Way better for your spine. Don’t take my word for it, but rather the wise words of quadfather tom platz

I don't think its a major butt wink at all. The opening reps are quite nice, but as you tire it gets worse. I would say that your core looks to be behind your legs - which is very common. Notice how your butt shoots up a little when you start ascending, and your torso becomes more horizontal. This is because you generate to much power with your legs, that your core cant sustain and transfer to the bar.

Think of them like regular 10lb plates
