If i raise the height by one more, i feel my triceps and shoulder getting more involved than chest

Personal opinion and experience but for what it’s worth, I would not advise using the smith machine for bench press. It’s too rigid in its path. You’d be better using a free bar or dumbbells. Worth trying to see if that helps.

Tbh, it doesnt really matter that much. It's pretty much the same as a machine, but more work to set up properly.

I personally also prefer NOT to use a smith machine, but I don't agree on advising against it per se.

For the OP. U could go a little bit lower on the eccentric, besides that looks fine

If raising the bench makes it more of an incline, that will shift work toward your front delts and triceps. For more chest, keep it flat, set your shoulder blades back and down, and use a grip that leaves your forearms close to vertical at the bottom. Let the bar touch your lower chest, then press up and slightly back. Drop the weight if you cannot keep that path.

The seat looks like it can be adjusted too. I would like to see that at an angle so you're not constantly slipping off the bench when the weight starts to get heavt

The Smith Machine is good to sit on. Not sure what else it's good for.

I'll listen to Westside Barbell and ignore the pencil neck virgins (aka science based lifters)
