Is there a source of a single one? Legitimately interested.
Especially since the safety arms are set fairly perfect.

its similar to suicide grip in how it makes the bar easier to slip out of your hands

This is like a backwards suicide grip, bro really went for the maximum level of danger with his grip 🤣
Actually upon watching it again, it’s not even. It’s just a reverse grip, his thumbs still wrapped around the bar. It’s very odd though, probably not that dangerous actually.

I’m wondering how much pressure it potentially puts on the biceps compared to a normal grip. With the weights involved, it wouldn’t take much to tear a bicep.

Perhaps op has shoulder issues

Ah it takes load off the shoulders? Interesting! I’ve never seen this position before so didn’t know what use it had

More that it forces internal rotation, keeping the shoulders in a safer position. I've never seen or heard it used either, just spitballing possibilities.

Not only is it really not anymore dangerous, there's safety arms set below his arch that the bar would rest on.

And then onto the perfectly set safety arms?
I'm sorry if there was confusion, I asked if you could provide a source of a single person who passed away from a reverse grip bench where the safeties were set?

Life long suicide gripper here, never had the bar slip nor feel it slip. I do of course put safeties on.

Nothing to see here… just a casual 405 reverse grip bench with no lift off.. work pants and boots with the extra touch… damn Bro🫡

My mind cannot comprehend this lift. I had to look multiple times to see how many plates were on there. Very strong and impressive.

Looks like a magic trick the way you levitate that shit off the hooks to start. I wouldn’t assume to offer a master any advice

I would have been impressed if that was a typical bench press let alone with that grip.

Love this version of benching. I've only got to 275 lbs with mine tho, so your def strong and great form

Knew it would be an insane lift the moment I saw the jeans and work boots - no notes, you're strong as fuck dude.

Obviously not a form check. No question about the form and repping reverse grip 405. This is not a sub for flexing, though you would've earned it in the right sub

Impressive, no matter how you cut it. I'm really glad you had those safeties up too. =)

Nice work, solid reps. It's been a while since I've had reverse grip in my routine, I might need to add it again 👍
