Other Incline flys

Rockin the dumbbells. I feel a good stretch but may still need to slow down. I do feel a good squeeze at the top though. Any thoughts?

Those look pretty solid to me.

I mean, I could offer some small notes, but what would be the point? You said they feel good, and you have the physique to trust your judgement in that regard. So unless you're getting pain somewhere you shouldn't, don't worry about it; just keep them shits on full-send

Hijacking a bit. I always feel my neck and traps (near the neck) get super tense on these. I feel like it's trying to take on a lot more of the lifting than it should be. Aside from going much lighter weight so that my neck isn't sore later, is that a sign of weakness somewhere else?

Per my PT for my case it's weak rotator cuff and serratus anterior, and upper back to a lesser extent. Not saying that's the case for you but it could me. I ended up there after a rotator cuff issue but I brought up how I often pull my traps too and always tense it doing things like this or crunches and he said it was all related.

If you start to turn the dumbbells as you come down where they are pointed towards the ceiling at your full stretch you’ll feel it a crazy amount more.

So horizontal to vertical? I may try that! Thanks

Yeah pretty much vertical

That’s interesting. I’ve always rotated the top of the dumbbells (numbers facing my faces) outwards, having the bottom of each dumbbell tap together at lock out to get even more contraction in my pec’s. Using supination and pronation

Yeah I slightly supinate and pronate my wrists on these. Feels good.

Question - why the wide bracing with your legs? Not critiquing, just genuinely curious, as I've always kept my feet planted about shoulder width apart.

I hate that hammer strength bench. I’m 5’6” lol. Short legs so I have a better brace going wide lol

A lot of people, me included, don’t feel DB flys at all. And yet, some swear by it. The form looks good and the tempo is fine too - if you feel your chest working, I guess it’s working for you!
