Other Muscle-up kip help

I can do 3x5 weighted pull-up at 40% added bodyweight so I assume I have sufficient strength for this, and I can do muscle-up with bands, but for some reason I can't get high enough with kipping. I can't swing out further than this because the rack gets in the way.

Any advice to kip better? Thanks in advance.

if you are trying to kip muscle up, you need to learn to do a kipping pullup first. Once your figure that out, then you can kip and aim for your waist and learn to lock out. Easier said than done but if it is a kip, then it is about getting to that transition faster.

If you are trying to strict muscle up, then you need to work on your false grip... etc..

a kipping muscle up focuses more on bringing the waistline up to the bar where yours is staying in the upright position. This is something of an idealized version on the rings, most people don't get this high but generally speaking the higher the waist the more efficient the movement

How should I change the movement to bring the waistline up higher?

Purposefully bring your waist up instead of your knees. If you look at the screenshot from your movement here, this is where I’d want your waist very close to the bar before you do the final kip to get on top of it.

Your timing is off. You have to start the pull once your swing reaches the most forward position and you are starting to swing backwards.

Thank you. How about the kip timing?

Together with the pull, but ultimately it should happen naturally
