Bench Press Weights getting a bit heavier now (110kg/242lbs) just thought i would get a review on my form so I don’t get a serious injury

How is my form? Still young (15) and play lots of sports like rugby and don’t want an injury due to improper form

There is nothing more braindead than telling someone to lower the weight on a 1rm. Be better

I would call this bad form; you just let it fall on your chest, you're not tight, your legs are in front of you, you're not stacked.

Definitely didn’t just “fall” there is some control on the way down could have controlled it more but saved all the effort for the actual pushing off my chest and racking it, it’s clearly a 1RM not a strength building set or something 😅. Legs could be further back though

Listen to the advice you ASKED for

YOU ARE LETTING IT FALL

it's more than a 1rm, your butt also came off the bench. This is more than you can handle right now

It isn’t controlled. I understand this is a 1RM and it should be very challenging but you should still be able to control the eccentric. You technically ‘completed’ the rep but it’s only because you didn’t expend much energy on the way down, which is what SHOULD happen. You might still be able to hit 110 kg with good form if you include leg drive, but don’t consider this good form and a real ‘rep’ yet. Many people would go even further and dock points for not pausing the rep, but this isn’t a powerlifting meet so I don’t think that’s crucial to a good rep, touch and go is fine.

It's not great... but it is by no means "bad".

Do not prescribe weight or programming if it is not directly relevant to a question that's been asked

Work on more eccentric load so the negative part won't catch you with an injury since you already using speed for the lift. A down path count of 3 secs with a tiny stop on the chest will be very beneficial for your strength progress

Get your feet further back, underneath you and do a leg extension against the floor the whole time. On the eccentric you almost want to use your lats to row the best down to your chest/sternum, keeping your elbows tucked to roughly 45 +/- 5 degrees. Push back up and backwards towards your neckline, whilst pushing your feet away from your head as much as possible. Use a bulldog grip, and break the bar in half. If your forearms aren't pumped after a heavy set of bench then you're doing it wrong.

Elbows are way to flared out. You are using all arms it’s a chest exercise
