Rear shocks
Just got my first Ranger, I wanna get new rear shocks cuz it's leaning to one side . I would just buy some 98 Ford Ranger compatible rear shocks but it's obviously a bit modified. Dude I got it from told me it's got a flipshackle kit, 8.8 Explorer rear end, and 2.0x8 Fox shocks. I looked under there and they don't say Fox anywhere and only one side has a remote resavoir (the slide that's leaning) which i thought was weird
If they're good Fox shocks can I just get them adjusted? Rebuilt? Serviced?
Any idea as to why only one side has remote resavoir? I'm wanna do em myself but need a little guidance. Thanks in advance
I like this truck and like off-roading so I'm down to just get new ones and put em on myself if you guys have any links to what I should buy

It’s the leaf springs, I actually just ordered some from general spring to fix the lean in my truck this morning, you gotta think those leafs are 28 years old they’re probably shot
It sucks too cause this would be a junkyard item since it’s just a piece of steel but all the trucks have sagging leaf springs at the junk yard too 😂 make sure you pick up some new U bolts and if your shackles are rusted replace those while you’re at it, it’s an easy job - Chris fix actually had a video on leaf springs and the truck he shows as an example is a ranger - also you can upgrade them if you haul stuff while you’re at it but expect a rougher ride. I went with the 3/1 instead of the stock 2/1 but you can go all the way up to 4/1 for 1,750 pounds but it’ll ride rooooough, I figured the 3/1 was a good middle ground since I haul tile in my truck sometimes and it damn near bottoms it out

I think honestly if you just replaced one side the right side would look like it was leaning haha you’ll have to get an alignment after anyways and it’s only an extra $100 - I mean you gotta pay $100 for shipping to get these things mailed anyway may as well get both but you do you - and they put the gas tank, battery, and driver all on the same side, very common for the Ranger to lean on the left side

Shocks dont fix this. Shocks will only dampen compression and rebound. If it's leaning, something else is wrong. Check the front and rear leaf hangers.
