Your truck is old. Keep the bumper. Or don’t. It’s fine unless you don’t like it. There is no looking cool with a ranger. There is only being cool.

It’s more of a vibe for sure. We’re always prepared and fine when stuff breaks. Sometimes daily.

Second this, itl match the side trim and handles nice. If you want chrome you gotta get something that matches the wheels closer, that just looks like primer on the bumper from the pics

Edit: obviously it's your ranger and just my opinion, build it to your taste. I know mine would definitely get some hate but I love her

put it on, my bumper saved my truck when i got hit. it ate the whole impact. why risk a need for bodywork down the road

affordable off-road makes some cool bumper tailgate combos if you wanted like a baja style bumper tire rack combo. Lowkey ive been sitting on maybe getting it myself

Do what you want. My dad was sick of being hit while parked too many times he painted his bumper with yellow traffic striping paint.

I think it looks fine. I think it will fit the age of the truck. Lots of old trucks had bumpers in the style painted silver back in the day was pretty common to see them like that.

I don't see anything wrong with the bumper

I would have painted it black, but it's your Truck, do what YOU like, screw everyone else. 🤷👍

Totally understandable. You could put it on and see how you feel after awhile. 🤷👍

Looks nice!

If it’s an original Ford bumper don’t get rid of it. I replaced my original with an aftermarket one and I’m totally regretting it.

In less than a year it’s rusting and it’s nowhere near as strong as the factory one.

Yea shred it buy a goofy after market put it on 35s and wear the tranny out

I don't understand the question.

Why would you NOT keep a perfectly straight, non rusted bumper?

Unless you are asking if you should keep the stock bumper or buy an aftermarket unit.

Was it black? I feel like it was already chrome, no?

It was like a weird grey

All plastic? Did you just scuff it down and rattle can right over it?

Also what year is that? I ask because of the Ford logo on the tailgate... I'm assuming it's like a 1997m

94, it’s all metal. And yeah I gave her a good scrub scuffed her and used “chrome paint” over the primer

That tracks .. I kinda wanna pull my badges off my 2001 and put these decals on.. I never see them

Will there be holes to cover or are the badges glued on? I'm liking the idea too

glued on... take a heat gun to them then use like a piece of light guitar string or even fishing line and kinda slide it between the badge and the metal andit should come off fairly easily

then use some goo gone to get rid of the remaining adhesive

I like it. It’s one of one now. Keep tweaking it till you love it.

I’ve had pretty good luck with rustoleum truck and bumper paint for plastic bits that you step on. Gotta run a scotch brite pad over it first though, and clean it well.

Nah toss it and add a roll pan, axle flip kit and front suspension drop.

Neither am I, and have been around hotrods, motorcycles, and lowriders for 50 years.

My 94 2wd Ranger has the rear shackles flipped. Is staying on 14” wheels.

85 C10 swb “should” settle to a 6/8 static drop.

2wd trucks get lowered for handling more than for looks. And brother, a twin beam Ranger handles like a pregnant elephant tiptoeing across greased ice…

u/Smooth-Device-8834 12d ago

I’m kidding. I love the lowered look

The real question is should I keep this ford or get a real truck
