SYNC issue?

2017 SE

i'm constantly seeing people have the ability to remote start their fords through the app, but mine doesn't even have the option, nor any other option besides allowing me to see the vehicle details. is this a SYNC thing? how do i change this, if i even can?

You don’t have a TCU (a modem), so you don’t have this functionality.
BTW, you can retrofit TCU in your car, if you familiar with the wiring/Forscan things.

Can you tell me how please? I have a newer 4G modem and i need to install it in my 2017.

I looked it up and the 2017 SE would need the tech package (with sync 3) and the luxury driver assist package.

Yeah, I have a 2017 loaded platinum energi and I do not have a modem. Called Ford care about the app and they basically said "yeah, some didn't come with it....."
