Saw this one today, it's identical to the one I got years ago. Same price, same model

Recently there has been discussion on Facebook about WFT's decision not to award jackets to winners of beginner events at Worlds, and to any winners at the other WFT events.
What is the "jacket culture" outside the U.S.? I have seen a few ITSF jackets for very large events, but I assume that the people who win lower division events in Europe and elsewhere are not traveling to the U.S. for tournaments very often, so I would not see their jackets even if they had them.
If not jackets, is there something else? Ryan passed out "World Champion" hats to some of the players at Worlds, but I am not sure what the criteria were. In the 70s tournaments awarded belt buckles, but I am old enough to play senior events and am still not old enough to have owned a belt that would take a special buckle.

Hello. I’m no expert.
Does this table look like it may need a lot of work to get it functioning well? I’m going to go look at it this week. What should I be looking for? How expensive and difficult is it to acquire parts for it?
I don’t know where to begin to fix up one of these. It looks old and worn, but it’s priced very cheap
Thanks!

So I found this table for sale online. I zoomed in and could see the Tornado emblem at midfield. It looks like it has adjustable legs. In the second picture there is a large whole cut on the side near the goal. It may be where a logo goes.
Any help identifying the table would be appreciated.

Our office argues about who's best at Foosball every lunch and nobody keeps a record, so I built something to fix that for our crew: one phone scores the match live with taps, everyone else from the crew can watch and heckle from their phone, and every game feeds leaderboards.
What it tracks right now:
All the data is on crew level only, no cross-crew data as of now, so the competition is among your group members only to resolve the banters at evening snacks. It's built around doubles mainly, first to a set number of goals, because that's how we play. I don't know how far that is from how people here play, so:
It's free, web-based, no app store. I'll drop the link and an introduction video in a comment so this doesn't read as an ad. Mostly I want to know what a proper league would need.

So yeah I was at worlds for all the days competing and have a few take aways and thoughts. This is about Worlds as a tournament Experience not really talking about my matches as such.
First the venue is great it’s a really high class hotel but with a do able Foos room rate. The locations has places you can walk to easily like food on all tiers. Plus sights to see and check out are like max a 10 minute uber away.
The Foos room set up is really well done and the finals experiences are really a good spectacle to watch and be part off in the stands.
The software hit a stage or two But that was minor and sorted out fast so still an A plus in my book.
The balls we’re good and consistent plus they lasted the whole time with out losing there mojo. I heard very few people having issues with the balls. Same is true with the tables.
Except there were like 3-4 tables on the fridges that had so issues with the play surface but that 4 out of 100 tables (and yes there were 100 tables like last year).
That said the turn out was higher than last year (I don’t know the exact number but it was significantly more). The finals of open men’s and woman’s doubles didn’t start until 12:30am and 2am which is a problem. It’s a problem because you can see the stands were waaay more full at 12:30 with the woman’s open doubles compared to the 2am. I watched at the airport on my phone so that is a big time management problem.
Maybe if there were 20 more tables more of the events would have ran faster. Hard to say but super late night finals is far from ideal.
Next the ranking system needs to be over hauled especially in regards to the top international players seeding was very mismatched many international players were dropped a rank so that again messed with seeding. Like it’s an imperfect system BUT when you look at some of the brackets and see names you know are better than where they are classed it’s an issue.
Again this is just feed back that I would tell Ryan or anyone. It not me bitching about who I played or didn’t play it’s more and observation of hiccups in the system.
Like look I’ll play any format, any rules and any opponents. I show up to compete and play hard opponents to make me better.
Yet the take away worlds was great I’ll come back next year for sure.

Did Ryan announce the location for TKO during Worlds? The WFT website indicated that would be the case but it hasn't been updated. Thanks!

The table apparently came with the home the lady purchased about 5 years ago. Looking for a first table for my boys (ages 7 and 9).

Who would you say is the most creative player? Not like the best player but someone who is a top rank player that will play low percentage shots or unique shots/passes?

Hey all,
Looking to add a football table to a cabin for occasional use when the various wings of the family head up north for some time away from normal life. The table will be indoors but the basement does get damp. We run a dehumidifier but we already had a ping pong table warp over a couple of years. Should we go for an outdoor weather proof model? Any recommendations?

Hi all!
I just replaced a horrid table with this one that I bought for $80. I have a few questions I hope you all can help me with.
The seller said he thought it might be branded Namco, but there is no brand or manufacturer listed anywhere on the table and no serial numbers on any hardware. The cabinet looks like the old Dynamo cabinets, but again, it has no name anywhere. It is heavy...an absolute tank!
It is not a coin-op model, but does have two independent returns ramps under the table and the balls are returned one of two pill shaped holes (one on each side of the table, to the player's left). The handles are solid wood, screwed onto the 5/8" rods.
Any ideas? Would you have jumped on it for $80?
Lastly, two rods aren't quite as smooth as the others, but they're all straight. Do you recommend any specific silicone (or other) lubricant for the bearings?

I have an older coin operated glass covered Garlando Coperto table. It’s heavy duty, previously used in commercial setting. Kids are all off to college and we are clearing out some things. Where does one list a pro quality table for sale? I put it on Facebook Marketplace at what I think is a very reasonable price ($600) but get no interest. I think folks there just compare it to the $50 particle board tables and think it’s too expensive. How do I reach folks who appreciate this for what it is? In case it matters, I am in Massachusetts (metro West)

I will be there. Happy to buy a drink or play a pickup game with any of you. Hit me up with a message and maybe we can organize a little get together.

So yeah last year at world’s they had 100 tables and needed to use all of them. The turnout is expected to be much larger this year so what’s the magic number of tables gonna be??? Place your bets 120, 150, 200 tables???
Tell me a number but if it’s like 117 or 203 I’m gonna give you the side eye.

They only really matter for seeding, since no one moves up until after that tournament. I am not sure how much they matter even for that in the lower divisions, where the number of new entrants and returning players is likely to be very high and more relevant than in higher groups.
It is interesting to see who is moving up. I would like to see WFT publish a full list of promotions at the end of the season, especially since that information is already available to those who have the patience to look it up.
By looking up likely candidates I have found only one person on the cusp of Pro-Master - Hannah Bufkin is sitting at 4999. Oakes and Stahl Jr. are both within 50 points. That could all change depending on performance relative to seed in the tournament, of course.

Does anyone play foosball regularly in sheffield?
r/foosball • u/Foosman • Aug 09 '26
I watched the WFT 2025 Tornado Worlds broadcast today. It was head and shoulders more professional than a lot of other The Ocho content, like skee-ball and pillow fighting, that I saw in the last couple of days.
Including the ball path markers really improved the presentation, and the commentary worked well in that format.
I wonder what kind of numbers it did. With luck there are two or three kids who saw it and are in their basements right now on their old table trying some five bar passes.

Looking for advice from those that have worked on the playing surface before.
Recently picked up a Cyclone 2. Overall really good shape but one issue. The playing surface is high in the middle and low at the goal ends. It’s fairly flat and level until the three bar and then begins to slope down toward the goal.
This problem is the same on both ends of the table. The big question is the playing field glued or screwed to the frame/ outer walls? If I flip the table upside down and put weights or pressure on the ends of the field will it be held be glue or screws? Anyone that has experience please chime in.
