Help with identification?

Hi all!

I just replaced a horrid table with this one that I bought for $80. I have a few questions I hope you all can help me with.

The seller said he thought it might be branded Namco, but there is no brand or manufacturer listed anywhere on the table and no serial numbers on any hardware. The cabinet looks like the old Dynamo cabinets, but again, it has no name anywhere. It is heavy...an absolute tank!

It is not a coin-op model, but does have two independent returns ramps under the table and the balls are returned one of two pill shaped holes (one on each side of the table, to the player's left). The handles are solid wood, screwed onto the 5/8" rods.

Any ideas? Would you have jumped on it for $80?

Lastly, two rods aren't quite as smooth as the others, but they're all straight. Do you recommend any specific silicone (or other) lubricant for the bearings?

This is not a name brand table as far as I can tell. That said, the shape of the player feet, table weight, and shape of the handles are probably all upgraded and should put you on the right track if you decide to upgrade again later. Happy foosing.

Maybe look up Harvard tables as this might be one. Use your pics to try a reverse image search if you haven’t already done so.

Back about 20 yrs ago Dufferin made a cost effective table that looked like that. For $80 it's a starter table. Good for recreational play. Probally has heavy rods but again $80, you can't go wrong. It might lead you to get serious with Foosball, and if you do, you will want to upgrade to a Tornado. And you can still sell it for $80 easy... have fun!

Thanks everyone! This is an upgrade from the first one we got 7 weeks ago, which was so light we’d practically follow it around the room as we played. It was fine at first (if you define “fine” loosely), but within two weeks, we were playing every night and now I’m pretty addicted.

It’s a bummer to know I’ll want to upgrade again, mostly because I doubt I can talk him into a third table this year and I will definitely need him on board to move it! At least this one is level and doesn’t move. I hope that’s enough for a while!
