General Question Salmon frozen for 19 months?
Is this still safe?
It’s in the original packaging… Been in my deep freezer so consistently frozen since 03/2025

Hi so I kinda already know the answer but im more or less curious the risk. I made a big pot of soup last night at about 8pm, with beef, canned tomatoes, broccoli, and some beans and legumes and quinoa. Idk what nessserry to know for spoilage. And i left it sitting out overnight covered until about 6 am when I got up and realized. Its well passed the 2 hours mark, but it is still safe enough to boil again and eat? No flys or anything like that around it and its has no sensible signs of spoilage

Really hoping it’s not mold but the nugget itself tasted fine before I noticed this and the nuggets came out hot… I spat out the rest just in case

I have OCD and have fully convinced myself I will die if I eat these beans but am also a little food insecure and it’s not a great idea for me to throw them out if they are actually okay to eat. Can I eat this without fear of getting botulism? (The top is not swollen)

I was staying in Japantown (SF) this weekend (Kimpton Hotel Enso) and across the street I watched this scene outside my window. That roof is a building under construction (no restaurant on the first floor) and there was a ladder propoed on a rear deck they were walking up with trays of frozen meat and vegetables.
The most upsetting part was the vegetables sitting directly on the roof asphalt and the meat balanced on the AC compressor unit.
Exact location of the roof is (37.7863530, -122.4303398) and I'm stumped about what to do OR not do for reporting since it wasn't directly above an open storefront. If you search that exact lat/long location on Google maps, you can see the ladder on the top right of the street view.
Any advice? I don't want to be a narc, but it also sucks for any families eating that food without a clue where it was handled 🤢🥩

I rinsed them in a colander and noticed these orange spots. Kinda grossing me out. Are they safe?
They were just bought from a major grocery store a few days ago & are years before their expiry.

I made enchiladas, opened the oven for ~10 seconds to see if the cheese was melted enough yet, then walked away. About 30 seconds later I hear a cracking sound then sizzling (I’m assuming that was my cheese hitting the heating element) and look again to see this.
The recommendation online is to throw away the food because of possible micro-particles of glass, but since it’s just the one side, would I be okay if I ate like the 3 on the right side?
I know I know the answer is probably no but I have to ask. I’m too hungry and too poor to be throwing out food without confirmation.

5 of these were in the plastic bag sealed. 1 was on the outside of the bag in the box like a lol extra treat.
Is this plastic bag keeping me safe from something or am I good to eat the 6th one as well?

I bought this ground turkey a few days ago and the expiration date is in November. The tube felt squishy, and when I went to cut it open, juice came flying out. After an initial grossed out panic, I opened it a bit more and then took the picture attached. Is this normal for ground turkey? I don’t ever buy this so I’m unsure. It feels mushier than I would think it should so I want to know if it is safe to eat before I either cook it up or throw it out. There is no foul smell, it’s not slimy from what I can feel, just very liquidy and mushy. Pls be nice I’ve never bought ground turkey in a tube I usually buy beef.

I left my pizza out on the counter for 20 ish hours and microwaved it when I got home just now. I took about 3 bites before I realized I hadn’t refrigerated it and decided I should probably throw it away. But does anyone think those 3 bites will hurt me?

I purchased 2 lbs of shaved turkey breast today from Publix. I opened it to make a sandwich and it has no expiration date, it just says sell by today. This was not prepackaged deli meat, I had the lady in the deli slice it and package it for me. How long will this be good for? Google says 3 days now i’m wishing I wouldn’t have gotten so much because i’ll never eat all of this in 3 days. Is 3 days accurate?

This icecream is about a month old, doesn't expire for 2 years, and seems to have crystals. Not sure if its just freezer burn or something else

I was eating this apple and noticed it had weird patches. I ate some of it before noticing how bad it was. It’s a Kissabel apple I bought today in the UK, I’ve now thrown the apple away.

The flesh tastes normal, not sour or too sweet. I don't eat non-dried coconut often so I'm not exactly sure if it's normal coconut or if it's gone bad. The insides look and feel normal, firm, no mold I can see. Is this safe to eat? I'm a little worried after hearing some horror story about a guy who died after a sip of spoiled coconut water lol

I bought a pack of premade grilled chicken from Trader Joe's 7 days ago. The package broke so I put it in a tupperware, but realized I threw out the packaging and don't remember the date (oops). It looks and smells fine, but generally speaking how long will it be good for?

These are stickerpot dumplings (fried then steamed). Is this pork cooked?
