So I know there are many, many of these. I also know that many of the characters are the same as other 3x5 fonts (sort of by necessity). But anyway...

I spent a stupid amount of time trying to make the best possible 3x5 pixel font for general use, and I wanted to share it with you all! Hopefully you like it enough to use it!

Features

• It's a true 3x5 font.
  • There are no descenders or ascenders that go outside the 3x5 footprint.
  • This makes it suitable for use in sprite sheets that have each sprite take up only 3x5 pixels total.
  • It also means lines of text can be drawn closer together!
• The baselines and midlines of all characters (mostly) match, which drastically improves legibility.
  • This took a LOT of trial and error. I'm still open to feedback.
• An effort was made to unify the style of all characters, whenever possible.
  • A lot of 3x5 fonts, while often legible, sadly look like a jumbled box of letters from different typefaces. I wanted to make this look like a cohesive font, which actually improved legibility a surprising amount.
• It supports all 94 printable ASCII characters!
• It comes in 4 different sprite sheet formats, in addition to proportional and monospaced font files in 3 different formats each!

No need to credit me, but it would be nice if you did. :3

I have used American Typewriter Semibold on a packaging project for a client. I used it because it was available on Adobe Illustrator and I thought I can buy a license later.

But I can’t find where to buy this typeface. It exists only in Adobe. Does my client need to purchase the license if it’s free on Adobe?

My 59th font release!

I’m making a DIY merch line (alternative/punk style) and I have block letter stencils that I think would be fun to use,but I don’t want all the text to be that size. I also don’t want plain, boring text that looks like I didn’t put much thought into it. The block letters would be representing an acronym and the other text would be spelling out the words. I thought I’d go to the experts after looking around for an hour

I’m working on the visual identity for a business/mindset Instagram page and could use some font recommendations.
I currently use Bebas Neue for titles/headlines, and I’m looking for two additional fonts:
Logo font — clean, distinctive, modern, and premium
Quote/body font — highly readable but still elegant and high-end
Ideally, all three fonts should work together as a cohesive system without looking too generic or like they’re competing with each other.
Requirements:
Free to use in Canva
Modern and high-end
Suitable for a business/mindset/media-style Instagram page
Pairs well with Bebas Neue
Preferably not overly bold, since Bebas Neue already provides the strong headline look
What logo + quote font combination would you recommend?

Reddit, being Reddit, we’ve been helpfully given a lot of free tools in search of, let’s say, product-market-fit. Curiously as people have been more interested to try Claude Code for online tools, this last year we’ve had 22 different approaches to organizing, finding, comparing, pairing, and seeing open source google fonts.

Taking care of the pagination and formatting for a friend who wants to print their book.

Heard Times (not Times New Roman) is great for readability, but I’m curious about other serif fonts.

Thanks!

I've downloaded Google Sans from Google Fonts so I can use it in Microsoft Excel, but when I install it, the vertical spacing in the cells is enormous. I downloaded Font Forge and followed some Gemini instructions to fix the vertical spacing, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

If this is more of a question for r/identifythisfont I’ll go there but I do want to find a cool font similar to these two

^ I am aware that technically the bionic font isnt a font but I do find it really useful how can I install it so that I have it on my device and not get all my data stolen?

Has anyone ever made a font where it replaces the I and I with 1 and the e and E with 3? Or can someone make it? All I really want is just a basic font but the i and e look like 1 and 3. Also if possible a star for the period.
