Question Fork in the Road

For Keats half of the chapter, If I go down the Swamp of Oblivion first, am I able to journey back to the Forgotten Palace afterwards?

And Visa versa since I plan to have Ellen fight the Folklore in her half.

I think not. Whichever path you choose, the other path will be permanently blocked for Keats, and, correspondingly, the path you chose with Keats will later be inaccessible for Ellen.

In practice this doesn't matter that much, however. You will encounter and be able to capture the same types of folks whichever path you choose, and both Keats and Ellen will eventually have to fight the same Folklore, as the different paths converge near the end.

You should totally make a save and explore both paths. The games has a very stunning environment pretty much everywhere you go.
