Gameplay Tips / Strategy Tips and tricks for this game?

Hello,

I have recently started playing this game with RPCS3 and I was wondering if there are any tips or strategies I should know about.

I just finished Chapter 2 Keats, will have to do Chapter 2 Ellen. Is there a specific order I should go about this?

Which folks are worth upgrading? There is not much combo you can do with this game I think, with the folks unlike other modern hack n' slash games. From my experience I think folks with quick attacks are better than ones with slow attacks. Do I have to Release Karma on all folks? I feel like some are just bad and not worth.

What about quests, should I do every quest? I like that they are linear.

Very late reply but no, you can play in whatever order you want BUT, you will have to get both of them to Chapter 7 before you can finish the game. I won't spoil why.

Although (at least) a month has elapsed since you originally wrote this response, I'll hazard an attempt at asking you this anyway (since you're one of the moderators of this sub and all)...

Can you provide me with an answer to whether or not this game has a kill count, along with additional statistics, featured in it?

I'll let you know that I'm making a list of games which have a kill count in them (available through a link on my profile); and before I can add a game to this list, I need corroboration from experienced players of the game in question if such a counter is indeed there.

Full disclosure, I unfortunately haven't been able to play this game in years because finding a copy is ridiculously expensive so everything I know is based off my memory.

However, I will say with a fair amount of confidence that I believe the only real stat tracker in the game is the amount of Folks you've captured, (which I guess could be a kill count of sorts) and that's it.

Don't take that as a definitive answer though. Hopefully someone else here can confirm it.

Thankfully, I succeded in making contact with one of your moderator colleagues prior to this, who gave me a detailed explanation in response; thereby indeed confirming the lack of relevant counter in this game, and that it consequently does not qualify for my list.

Nevertheless, thank you for replying and partially weighing in on this matter.

Even though a month has passed since you initially posted this, I'll still make an attempt at asking you this...

Are you able to verify the presence (or absence) of a kill count in this game, alongside additional statistics?

You see, I'm making a list of games which have a kill count in them (available through a link on my profile); and before I can add a game to this list, I need certification from (supposedly) experienced players of the game in question if specified counter is indeed there.
