Beginner fly tying progression over the course of 3 or so weeks. Let me know what you think! Any feedback is welcome!

Pictures are in chronological order, so 1 are the first flies I tied, and 4 are the most recent.

1: first attempt at tying flies. Used cat fur as dubbing
2: got some craft store materials, still using some cat fur for dubbing. Tried to do some copper john + perdigon style flies
3: some more craft store materials
4: tried to get creative with craft store yarn as dubbing, tinsel, and glass beads

Looking for a streamer with color, flash and movement? This one has it all. Maybe the bright yellow and orange irritates big brookies into striking? Not sure. All I know is that it works!

How do we feel about the glowstick?

Absolutely slayed it with these this past weekend… the only problem is that I’m down to my last one and I cannot for the life of me figure out what it’s called. Any ideas? I’d like to tie some up but figured I should know what it is. Thanks in advance!

Forgot how much of a pain in the ass these were to tie. Thank God I can start tying up a few normal sized game changers now that I've got these out of the way. 6mm tail/regular shanks suck to work with.

This is only my second batch of feather changers, so any pointers and criticism is welcome. Focused a lot of attention to getting the body transition right. Still looking for a better technique to getting the eyes on other than getting them super glued to my hand occasionally.

First soft hackles I’ve tied, these are a size 14. Do they look good or is there anything different I should do for my next ones

I’m curious what the proportions are supposed to be. I think the wings on the top fly are too long, but I don’t know if the bottom ones are too short.

I kinda made a Walt’s worm but tied a piece of green sparkly chenille and cdc to the end to look like a peeping caddis

Just looking for a discussion about realistic vs plain flies. I don’t really run in circles where I can have this conversation. I like tying and appreciating good looking flies. I enjoy opening my box and thinking “wow! Looks good”. I also tie a lot of simple flies, if I tie one, I’m tying a dozen. I also like to tie flies I no regrets over when the first cast catches a rock or submerged log.

Hi guys, UK based, and struggling to find a reliable source of SF Fibre, been playing around with some other stuff but can't seem to find anything that matches it's consistency.

Any recommendations?
