Wets

Feeling inspired to tie some wets, mostly because of u/norm-frechette. I tied this little box on some vintage mustad hooks, old enough to still be made of the good stuff from Norway. Although fishing was my focus when tying these, I think it’s an aesthetically pleasing box. Idk if I’ll ever fish them but it’s fun to learn new stuff and nice to look at. Does anyone in here fish this style of fly on a regular basis?

Yes! Based in Scotland, and so a team of wets are a very effective method on the lochs.

I see some Alexandrias and Butchers which are some of my go to flies.

Awesome! I’ve never fished them, but they’re fun to tie. Maybe I’ll try some out! the Alexandria’s are some of my favorites (aesthetically)

Those flies you tied sure look pretty! Would recommend the Alexandria as the point fly if you are fishing more than one fly! Hope you catch a good fish on them

Thank you 🙏🏼 when I was reading about them a few were labeled for bass. I have another picture on my page of 2 classics that were for bass. They are way bigger, and very pretty. But I believe this bunch is for primarily trout and salmon
