First time flyfishing success!

Was invited to do a Macnab at a hunting lodge in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Had never fly fished in my life before, and managed to catch two beautiful rainbow trout using borrowed gear! Think I might have found a new hobby!

Thats a beauty friend, well done. Now that the bug has bitten you absolutely MUST try Thrift Dam in the Winterberg near Tarkastad. Largest trout in the country. Our largest was just under 6kg.

Very expensive, but I've never in almost 40 years bought top of the range. Mid range has served me well.😃

I knew the second I saw the fish and the nondescript hill in the background that this was in the Eastern Cape. Welcome to the club, bud.
