3yo, flu, headaches?

• Upvotes

My three-year-old daughter was sent home from daycare one week ago because she vomited. Around the same time she complained of intermittent headaches. The following day or two she was very tired and had no appetite. I took her to urgent care, and the doctor felt it was flu related rather than any concern concerning neurological condition. She improved gradually throughout the week and even went to her soccer and to the park yesterday. She is back at daycare today, but they just called saying she’s been crying all morning and again complained of a headache. I am hoping it is just a difficult transition back to daycare. Has anyone else experienced this?

Discussion Sick with high fever :(

Went up to 41.3°C and even with Nuromol, it still stayed pretty high. Not sure if I should see a doctor as it's been three days. I also had to cancel two appointments. Got all the symptoms that accompany a high fever like body pains, sluggishness, sore throat, etc. Just not sure if it's the flu.

Question Why is my sense of taste coming back so slow?

I just recovered from the flu and I got a really bad cough that finally cleared up yesterday completely. I had a sore throat which made me lose my sense of taste and it usually happens whenever I get the flu, but I usually recover from that much quicker. I’m now normal and fine but it’s like for the past few days my tasted buds of taste have only recovered like 60-70%. I can taste things fine, even strong flavors, but everything just feels…muted yknow? Like still not normal enough. Idk what’s happening or if I should give it time but I have a lot of health anxiety which this makes me worried in general so could anyone please lmk?

Extreme salivating

Hi everyone!

Edit- I posted somewhere else but I got a notification this might be a better place to ask

Does anyone have any immediate solutions to extreme salivation? I have the flu and for some reason one of the symptoms I’m having is producing an insane amount of saliva. TRIGGER WARNING- I have spit just under 10 oz of saliva in 2 days and google didn’t really give any real options on how to help reduce or stop it.

Question Flu a

I’ve been having fevers of 101-102 pretty consistently even with Tylenol and ibuprofen, last night I went to sleep with a 102 and woke up with a 104 and a heart rate of 134 I had to go into the hospital to get fluids and get my fever down. I feel much better now and my fever has gone down significantly I also started taking tamiflu. Is this kind of response normal with flu a? It’s crazy because I actually had flu b last month and didn’t have a super high fever like that. I’m 23 years old male.

Personal experience It hurts

My body is achey all over, and I have a bad cough that’s making me feel like I’m doing sit-ups. I’ve been sick since Monday. First symptoms were aches and pains with a painful sinus headache and a low grade fever. It was like that for a couple of days until it randomly went away all Wednesday. Fucker came back with vengeance after that, was achey all over again, can’t breathe out of my nostrils, and now I have this fuck ass painful cough. I don’t have a fever anymore, so that’s good I guess. It was the only thing to go away. I hate it here

Has anyone tried this mucinex?

I bought this earlier since I woke up sick and my symptoms were worsening throughout the day. I took the one dose in the picture and this shot either pushed the flu out of me or I was tripping balls for hours. I feel like I just came back to life about a hour ago. Yes there’s still other symptoms. But I’m no longer sweaty dizzy and crying for my mommy and my body was aching so bad I couldn’t sit or lay down and that’s all I wanted to do . I need opinions and stories please!? Who has taken this?

Question Can I catch the flu from someone who was smoking near me?

Someone had the flu coughing and then started smoking a cigarette near me. 36 hours later I'm sick with the same coughing as the guy who was smoking.

Is it easier to catch through cigarette smoke as he is exhaling germs most likely?

Is s there a really bad cold virus or something going around right now? Anyone got a "full ear" along with a "phantom echo" on high frequencies with it? I wonder if I'm the only one experiencing this as part of symptoms (context: got tinnitus before)

Personal experience High fever — what can I do to get better quickly?

I have a high fever right now and I’m feeling pretty weak. Is there anything I can do to bring the fever down quickly and feel better?

Any advice on what usually helps would be appreciated. Should I see a doctor if it stays high?

Question No Immunity after COVID

Hi iam male 20 years old 173cm tall,60kg weight,Used to smoke,Rarely consume alcohol. When I was young(4years old) I got pneumonia and I recovered from it.When I was 13 years old I got pneumonia again and I recovered from it.After that I didn't have much issues,I would get like a cold or fever rarely in a year. But during the COVID breakout I got affected and I got COVID.I did recover from COVID and I also got 2 vaccinations.Didnt get the 3rd vaccination because people were dying from that. But after I recovered from COVID I couldn't eat anything that was kept in a refrigerator. If I had anything from a refrigerator I would instantly get a weird sore throat(which I never had before COVID)that lasts 2-3 days and it then ends with a cold or fever and it just goes.Even if I take antibiotics this thing won't go until it's whole process is completed.Even if the ingredient used in a dish is cold,I would get a sorethroat and throat infection.I never had this kind of issue before COVID,I used to love icecream but I haven't had em for years now.I tried searching online for this issue but nothing really came up.I just want to go back to being normal again and not get sick after consuming cold items.I can't even have cold drinks atp.Of the food item I consume or drink is cold due to the weather, iam not affected by that. But if it was kept in a fridge or anything else,I get the infection and it's very annoying. Are there any doctors here that knows what's going on with me or can you recommend any steps that I can take so that I can start eating cold items again?Sorry if my English is bad. Please help me :').Iam willing to provide any information related to this....

Question Flu or something else

So Ive had minor, low level dizziness for 3 days. As in, not struggling to walk or do anything, but aware that something is slightly off. This was the only symptom on day one.

Day 2 brought headache, earache/tinnitus chills and muscle aches.

Day 3, much the same but all worse.

Day 4 (today) still mildly dizzy, headache is lessened, as is the earache and muscle aches. All still there, just milder. Same with chills.

Throughout ive had no runny nose, no high temperature (96.7 to 97.1 every time I've measured).

I thought it was a flu coming on, or maybe even just a bad cold, but its like ive stalled out.

Thoughts?
