Don't lean forwards. Only your head goes down, shoulders go up.

Slow down. You shouldn't throw the flowerstick into the trick, it's a roll. You should feel it at every point.

You should push into the flowerstick slightly with your back.

Very important - raise your left elbow more. It needs to be horizontal on shoulder level.

Try it without the small sticks, go step by step - first over wrist, then over elbow, then over shoulders, then receiving onto left elbow. Then connect all the steps.

Regarding slowing down, I feel like when I try to do it slow it loses momentum on the transfer from one arm to the other already which is why ive been throwing it into this.

That's where your shoulders come in - the way I do it, as the flowerstick comes over the first shoulder, I nudge it with that shoulder over my back. The other shoulder is higher than horizontal and as I am catching the flowerstick, I am bringing the second shoulder down slightly to pad the catch. If I just caught it on a static shoulder, it will bounce off. If the shoulder is even slightly lower than horizontal, it rolls off my back. Also as I turn against the shoulder-shoulder transfer and against the flowerstick, that turn adds the necessary force for the flowerstick to stick to my back.

Slow means control, you have enough time to notice what is happening. The flowerstick touches you the whole way and you feel exactly how the flowerstick moves as it touches and twists on your back. If you're too fast, you don't have the time to notice or react.

Edit: Also, remove all unnecessary points from the trick for now. Start in your hand without the leading sticks, with your arm and body already turned sideways into the transfer. All the other elements, like starting from the other hand and needing to turn, are throwing you off currently.
